Parallels Desktop for Mac

Anyone out there have any experience running Windows XP via Parallels Desktop on a Mac?

 

I use it all day long for work. I haven't had any issues since the early versions 2 years ago.

 

I recommend using bootcamp instead. Parallels eats up your RAM, you are basically running two operating systems at once. If you want best performance you will want to run XP via bootcamp. With bootcamp, you can select which operating system you want to boot up to.

 

Buy more RAM. It's cheap. Boot camp is good for games, but if you just need to run a few windows apps Parallels is much better from a convenience standpoint. I've never tried it, but I think Parallels lets you virtually boot the boot camp partition, so you can have the best of both worlds.
