You'll also probably want a 1.5" AAL (add a leaf) to level out the back. Wheelers or fat bob's garage have them for under $100.

I'd go up to at least 265/75/16....you could have fit that at stock height.

Got it... How difficult is it to install the AAL kit?

BTW I just measured the spacer and it is right at 1.25" soooooo I should have a 2.5" lift correct? (meaning I am now 1" off from level in the rear)

Correct, it shoudl have given you 2.5".

The AAL install is fairly easy and not too time consuming. There are good instructions on this board.

This was not planned at all but I guess live and learn... Why would I not want to just get the 1" blocks to level off everything? (1.5" were suggested)

I was just suggesting an AAL because it does better off road and is less prone to axle wrap than blocks, and I don't think they make 1" AAL's, so the 1.5" is the next best thing.

A 1 inch block would level you out as well.

    LOL on the tire size!!

As for the driving experience, I have not noticed a thing as of yet. I put about 50 miles on today around town hoping it would "settle" as the seller stated...

You actually could fit 285/75/16's with a little trimming. A lot of members are running that size on 2.5-3" lifts.

Truck looks good:). Would do better with 285's though, JMO.

I love the look with 285's. I'm currently running that setup. I have 1.25 spacer up front, nothing in the rear, and 285/75/17's, with a 1/4inch wheel spacer up front, to help with the slight rub at full steering lock. No trimming done.

I appreciate all of the input... I am still a little steamed about all of this since I was expecting one thing and ended up with a complete different experience.

The seller is stating his "kit" leveled out his Tacoma without any issues but the more I read the worse this seems. Between CV issues and drivetrain vibrations I am starting to regret even attempting to level her out...

I am calling around in the AM to see if I can find a 1" rear block kit locally so I can call this a completed project and get the front end aligned and adjusted for my newly acquired 2.5" front end.

As for tires, I am sticking with 265/75/16 on the stock rims. Last thing I wanted was a reduction in MPG since this is a daily driver with over 55+ miles per day being tacked on...

I am still on the fence about being satisfied and I guess time will tell if there is anything else that I need to adjust or worry about. My off-road time is about 1% at best and is usually limited to crawling around the beach or just goofing around.

Well enough venting for today... If anyone has any real input about items to keep an eye on please post. As for bumping up the tires/rims/etc, I have decided already.

Last issue, does anyone recommend the stealer-ship for a front end correction/adjustment or is there a better place for that (trustworthy that won't screw me over)?

Thank you for all of your input and suggestions, this site continues to impress me. I just wish I would have known more prior to taking this route... Live and learn right?
