Sensor on. But sometimes it appears off?

For me, every time I turn on my truck, it’s on. Even though I want it off and sometimes I turn it off. Doesn’t even work 9 times out of 10 but whatever.

I've seen it do that in heavy rain or when the sensor is extremely dirty. It's showing that you have it turned on, but some obstruction in view has caused the truck to turn it off temporarily. If nothing was blocking the sensor and it wasn't raining to where the view was limited, I'd mention it to your dealer.

I've only seen it actually malfunction once, on a 4 hr road trip about 3 1/2 hrs in. I started getting error messages pop up and they wouldn't go away. Pulled over, got out to check the sensors and everything seemed fine, restarted the truck and hasn't happened since then.

Mine does it too intermittently. Then comes back on. Just how the system works. Still cant understand how these nannies have bee available for so long and don't work well. I had a Volvo in 2011 that had all the same safety stuff as the Taco, but worked way better. So who knows.
