June 2010 - Brazos Valley, Texas Meet

haha i don't stay at the lake house. the lake is Sam Rayburn and it's run by the corp of engineers so the banks of the lake are public property so i take my taco on trails and pull up and camp for a night or two right on the bank of the lake.

 

People have done more with Less...

I was Bone Stock the first time I went. We are camping Friday/Sat.. you can still hang out and drink. Meet some of the Clan..

And there will be plenty of open seats, If you don't want to wheel your truck you can just ride with someone else.

 

That does sound quite appealing except I'm only 18 so the whole drinking thing wont work out haha

anyways, just about a week out from the meet and this thread is quiet. i'm driving up sunday morning cause i'm working saturday. ya'll still gonna be wheeling on sunday yes?

 

Well im sure.

 

Come down saturday evening after work & camp for the night. I should be there both Saturday & Sunday, assuming my rig doesn't break.

 

i work evening shift and get off at 10pm.

 

But I thought you where going to show us how real men sleep on rocks? LOL, I don't blame you for not wanting to show up that late.

 

that was the plan at long ranch, but then kid said he was going to sleep in a camel carcass and i just couldn't compete with that so i slept on a crappy air mattress.

 

Besides, isn't anything east of I45 considered "East Texas" anyhow?
But I do believe there has been some encroachment in this area from East Texas though, everyonce in a while I'll hear a pig squeel with a some dueling banjos in the background.

 

Believe me, they have been in Iola for sometime already!!

 

I did fine stock tires and open....michael only pulled me out twice. lol

 

I am heading home on Sunday.. but a change of plans might be in the works.. GRR... Bid Opening in Tulsa Friday at 1pm, I might have to be there.

i think im going to drive back to my apt its to f.ing hot out

 

Is there room for everybody in ya'lls camper?
If not, I'll just drive the 10 minutes to the house and sleep in the AC.

 

I won't be able to make it unless I do just a day trip on Saturday. I got assigned to take care of the horses this weekend. And I'm not sure if a 4 hr drive round trip is worth an hr or two of wheeling
