I'm trying to decide who is struggling the most with this, the dealers, the engineering group(s) who can't write a TSB, or corporate CS? It is like a race to the bottom where each is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Going in the my closer dealer on Monday. Gonna see if they will give it a shot or act like I have three heads like most dealers are doing. I will have the print out in hand though.

Folsom lake Toyota told me it is for automatics only and they would not reflash my manual. The technician laughed

Whew! I used to get peeved when the Dodge and saab SAs used to give me a screwed up face and just say 'No' without any discussion or reasoning. A friend's father started working at the Dodge place and we went to a different saab dealer.

They're probably going to figure out what you guys have all done and roll back the MT codes. Watch.

    Bite your tongue!

I was in for the 10k service after I did the update. Not a word was said and it looks like all my Carista customizations were not messed with either.

It better not, looks like all my complaining got me somewhere. Findlay manager spoke with me this morning. Looks like they will do the update, they had a foreman that seemed okay with it. Appt is at 3.... wish me luck!

Maybe we could get TFL Truck to ask a Toyota Engineer about this TSB at the next car exposition they visit? :notsure:

So there is another tsb that shows 04b13 as a manual transmission vehicle. That is how they are taking care of the update for me. Im gonna try to find out the tsb. Waiting on them to flash it, they are taking care of it right now.

They are going to make Toyota aware of these discrepancies

I barely got to see it. But it had something to do with steering at a stop engine stumble. He showed me like 5 tsb's really fast and scrolled down to the software list to see if any were categorized as a manual trans. Couldn't get another look at it....

No problem. That bottom number ending in 04B13 is the key.

    Does it feel like goodness?

Is it possible maybe you can call them to get the TSB? Maybe rest of us with surrounded by dealers with "liability" issues who don't want to update trucks can finally get the update?
