    All,

My 2006 Taco TPMS sensors are dead. Its 12 years old, so I think I got full value out of the stock ones. My question is now which ones to buy. Rockauto has several Denso ones to choose from and since I am having the sensors replaced at a friends tire shop, I dont want to buy the wrong ones.
My Taco has a sensor in the spare, which is a steel rim. the rest of my sensors are on alloys.
Here is a screenshot of rockauto's choices--

Notices there are two Denso choices for both steel and alloy wheels. Whats up here?

There's two choices for steel & alloy because of production date splits (which RockAuto is showing).

Look at the sticker in your doorjamb, find the production date. If it's before 08/06, use Denso #5500101. If it's 08/06 or after, use #5500103.

Awesome everyone. Thanks for the replies. My Tacoma shows 08/06 on the doorjamb, so now I know which ones to buy. I ordered four 103 Densos and one 104 for the steel spare.

New info: I received the TPMS sensors. When I went to install them the Steel (104) sensor I bought for the spare (because it was a steel rim) DID NOT FIT. In Toyota's awesome wisdom, it used the ALLOY TPMS sensor design for the steel spare rim. USE THE 103 FOR YOUR STEEL RIM SPARE, FOLKS. The 104s are for OEM steel rims on the base models where ALL the rims are steel.

I have four Toyota oem TOMS sensors, never installed, for steel wheels if you are interested. I ended up with steel wheel sensors when I needed alloy.
