The service advisor told me few times, If you want I can go drive with you after he told me he wasn’t a technician and I told him, you told me you’re not technician and you can’t diagnose the problem and you don’t have time for it either so we got up to the truck and left, that’s ridiculous but I’ll call his manager today and complain and let them know I’m not going back to that dealer

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Call Toyota corporate and complain. They will make it right. The local manager should be notified that not only did he lose a customer, but that the dealership has been named/flagged on the most popular Toyota website. I guarantee this will not sit well with them.

Blacked out the chrome badges and the stock wheels, tailgate decals, short of the toyota symbol. I was able to take off the cap but couldn't find a way to remove the plastic clip without breaking the clips themselves. I was planning on plastidip'ing it and then snapping it back on.

Use something like a 1/2 wooden dowel. Note the direction the catch faces in the cap. Push the catch toward the center of the cap at a 45 degree angle while pushing it out. the force to push it out will be more than the force at 45 degrees. They are very tight but will push out with out damage.

Thanks for the tip bud. Is that red plastidip? I never even thought about going with the TRD red! Looks fantastic!
I started to attempt what you mentioned, however I was sitting with needle nose plyers so I was certain I was about to crack it. I"ll give your method a try and plan on more patience. :)

Well, I didn't post the rest of the photos of the additional newspaper around the main square block. I still got over spray because I was a little short on newspaper (I end up tossing them into the recycle bin before they even get into the house). Once I got all the newspaper off I quickly saw and buffed out the overspray with a clean microfiber cloth. It was just speckles so it came off relatively easy with a little elbow grease.

I plan on plastidipping the front grill in the near future so I'm saving the newspaper now. Debating whether I take off the grill or try and do it in place, in both cases, I plan to leave the emblem untouched as it seems there is an issue with the TSS and cover it with plastidip.

Blizzaks are absolutely #1 for snow and ice but will wear out fast in anything warmer than 10celcius. BFg at ko2 would be my sencond choice. I’ve been running blizzak since 1996. My uncle races VW on frozen lakes and has won against guys with studs etc just on blizzaks. I grew up in the Alberta Rockies and would do 130kmh in 1+ ft of snow on top of ice roads. Absolute control. They saved my life multiple times on a RWd Chevy savana with 10 ppl in it while I was a snowboard coach. For now both my Tacoma and sienna have ko2.

It’s very easy to remove the grill. Much easier than using paper or sheet plastic to protect from overspray.

That's what I'm leaning towards. My only concern is goofing with the TSS plug.

i may do that after the resonator gets a little build up. i'm seeing many reports saying it reduces the V6 or 4cyl sound better after some carbon builds in the resonator.

i bought the Spintech directly from Spintech. i don't know what it sounds like on its own. i installed the Vibrant with it today.

So, I just bought the truck 2 days ago (used 2017) and I knew that it had the dreaded, leaking 3rd brake light. I scheduled an inspection and warranty-repair with Mr. T this morning at 10am. Alas...at 9am the skies opened up and the rear seat/window getting soaked as water was pouring into the truck from the brake light area above the sliding window! Took it to the dealership to show them and the service guy was like "It'll be 2-4 weeks before we can get the part to fix it." I asked him if I could tape it up or silicone it as a band-aid. He agreed and so that's where I stand. I bought some exterior clear silicone and doctored it up pretty good. Hopefully it should hold until fixed properly.

Now I have fans running in the truck to dry out the carpet and seats before mold sets in! Again, I knew what I was getting into. Luckily, theres no stains or anything and it looks very fixable. Shouldn't have any issue getting it back to new condition.

I'll report back if I have any ongoing issues with Mr. T or the truck.
