    I don't have patches.

Man...wonder what they'd say about me? I wish I wheeled more than the mall sometimes...

    Yes.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
    31k for used 4R

Their price seems fair. Actually a great deal factoring in that installation is done on all the parts already.

And if all that stuff was installed at a professional shop then that's a game changer

I'm not much of an overlander so never. Haha there's probably not a scenario where I would rather wheel a 4runner than my truck. I really like the 4runner and it's much nicer than my truck but just pure wheelin, I'm taking my truck everytime. Now if we went on a "camping" trip then for sure I'd take the 4runner but I don't go on camping trips. The idea of overlanding is really cool but the thing that turns me off is the lack of wheeling WHILE overlanding. Yeah you can pull a trailer with all your overland stuff then detach it and go wheeling but there's no difference between that and me unloading my camping gear and going wheeling except I paid $500 for my camping setup and you paid $40k. Hence why I think it's become a "who's got the most money" contest. Yes, people can spend their money however they want but if you're asking me what I care about more, its gonna be a wheeling vehicle over a convenience of living vehicle.

I saw a YouTube video of a dude in a 2016 Landcruiser that was fully decked out for overlanding, with a trailer. In the video he talks about why he bought a $90k Landcruiser to overland in, put $20k worth of a SC and other crap on and why he has a $48k mobile home attached to it. Because it's all about luxury, comfort and ease of living while overlanding. All that is really badass and I'm jealous I don't have that level of money to drop on an off road setup. If you're just purely overlanding, hes got tha fucking setup.

I'm not hating on overland folks. There's plenty of folks out there who have very inexpensive overland setups and I'm sure they love that shit. Even the guys in here with newer 4runners and camping setups of $5k+ are "overlanding" with relatively inexpensive setups. But they don't get any attention for it. You gotta spend some money in the overland scene for anyone to give a fuck about what you're doing and unfortunately for my liking, most of that money is spent on "camping gear" because the thought of "I can live outside of my house more comfortably than you can" is appealing to a lot of people. That's all good man. I'm just telling you I want to wheel.

I want some rock lights. Not really for wheeling but just to look like a UFO floating down the trail. They are cheap enough to buy just for that use. Haha

I struggle with the overlanding idea particularly east of the Mississippi, there's really no public land where you can fall off the face of the earth for a week at a time like you can in the desert out west. I think the concept is cool if you're one of the people who really does go off grid for a week or two at a time but I like wheeling rock trails and drinking with my buddies in camp a helluva lot more. It definitely seems to be a measuring contest on the gram.

Hell, I've got less into my whole wheeling setup including tow rig and trailer than some spend just on on the stock truck...
    -$15k F250 DD/tow rig
    -$3k trailer
    -$7-8k trail rig
-$500 in miscellaneous camping gear that facilitates my heavy beer and burger consumption before I pass out around a camp fire

The most expensive shop in Knoxville does all of their stuff. Rocky top customs or Rocky top 4x4 I think. Something like that.

    Truth!

I'm not an overlander, and I didn't even camp in Boston, because where would I camp in Boston? My truck is inspired by old school beach runners, and it's build to handle low to medium difficulty trails. At the end of the day, I'm driving home. And I'm fine with that!

I like it! Just not behind me on a dark trail lol

I've got a light bar on the bumper, ditch lights, and bed corner lights been installed on their brackets for many moons but still haven't wired them in. Practical lighting mods!
I do have 4 cheap 5" LED sticky strips I have yet to do shit with because I've realized fender well lights are near useless as fuck outside a pavement setting.
