I don’t even probe my pork butt or briskets till sometimes after I wrap it. For pork butts it always been 5 hours smoke then wrap it then probe. I do probe it with my insta read and if it’s 150-160 I just wrap it. I find no difference at what temp I wrap them.

That is usually what I do, I am still learning on this. I had my UDS going strong but can't have it where I currently live. I usually smoked mine until 145, then wrapped it, then took it up right at 192. Let it rest for an hour and then hog heaven. Do you always use your kettle for smoking?

This was a hard to watch because I'm picky about fries. I don't like my fries getting cold. He didn't finished the fries until he was already a half an hour into his challenge. Just thinking about cold fries is nauseating.

I agree, outside of mashed potato's and gray I can't eat potatoes that are heated up again. Forget it when they get cold.

Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet.

    https://www.thermoworks.com/ThermoP...&utm_campaign=Sep2018-ThermoPop-2more-sale-cs

Thermopop thermometers are $20/ea if you buy 2 or more. If you have a friend or family member that needs one too, then $20 a piece is one HELL of a deal on that piece of equipment. I think they're worth the $34 regular price, but a no-brainer deal at $20.

If a bunch of folks need just one, maybe a group buy?

I could package with a rub order to cut down on everyone's shipping, maybe :D.

There are people in other countries that are starving... I will eat anything I’m not allergic too. Not picky, hot, cold, or a week old. I don’t care.

Except Gin. I could probably choke down diesel fuel better than gin.

I was thinking if anyone wanted only one (though more is fine, too) and was wanting some rub, they could post up. I'd order the requested Thermopops, then pass them on for the same $20 cost. You'd order rub, plus a $20 make-up sku and I'd ship both together. Everyone would save on the Thermoworks shipping (or get the bulk price even when buying just one) and I'd move a little rub.

    Just a thought.

It says available for a limited time, so we don't have to organize it today, but we'll have to do something soon. They always send out "last chance!" e-mails, so we'll have a little heads up.

Would anyone be interested in a "buy any Pitfaced BBQ Meat Massage/Spicy Meat Massage, get a Thermopop for $20" sort of preorder/commitment sort of thing? If it helps people that only want one Thermopop OR were going to get some more rub anyways, I'll do it.

    1. leave on counter in a zippy, do not refrigerate.
    2. Arrange a single layer on a toaster oven tray.
    3. Do not preheat, just put 'em in and set on cremate... 450f on my toaster.
When they sizzle, about 5 minutes, done. Time depends on how fat you are... I mean the fries.
I'll PM you where to send my brazillion dollas. :D
