    Well. Me? I kinda like it. Reminds me of my first truck. But more as a utility vehicle for hauling stuff. I certainly don't like it $15K.

    Not sure I agree with that.
    Typical volvo buyer probably has a hard time figuring out what a pickup even is.

    Might not have been traded in? From my dealership days, used cars without plates typically meant one of two things: Either it was an out of state auction purchase, and/or the plates got transferred to a different vehicle. YMMV, every state's a little different. Point being, Tacomas are popular, and currently they're value-heavy. Their used car manager might've purchased this 5-lugger simply because it was a Tacoma.

    Used car sales make a whole lot more money for dealers than new car sales do.

    Dealerships typically ask retail value, not private party.

    Well yeah. Ford bought them in the late 90s and immediately started seeing a heavy Ford influence in their production. It sucked for us (it didn't suck for Ford though, who reaped the benefits of everything Volvo had to offer). Now they're owned by Chinese company Geely. It's not going to get better anytime soon.

    I'm pretty sure it's been about 25 years since one could buy a new Volvo with manual windows in America, and at least 10 years since one could buy a new Volvo with a manual transmission in America!

    Actually not true...

    My truck's title, as well the insurance card and registration, all identify it as a 2010. However, the sticker in the door jamb says it was manufactured in August 2009.

    I used to work at a volvo dealership in Princeton nj . And the used salesmanger would always jack up the price on in coming cars by at least 5k

    Check Craigslist and ask local friends.. A ten year old base model, 4cyl, single cab sr5 5-lug, no LSD can be found easy for under $5000. They are useless to anyone except for a simple work truck. I'd offer $2,500 cash Max, maybe could use some parts or part it out....
