Updates:

Alignment tabs blew out about a month or so back, the boys at @ Avid Off-road welded some of these sweet Total Chaos ones on.



Finally installed my @Pelfreybilt skidplates today as well. Need to get an adapter plate made up, because prerunner, but got it secured for now. Drilling the frame holes wasn't fun at all....


Took a shower and made some filet

 

Finally got this. Hoping to wire it up in the next week or two.

 

Update:

They finally shipped me a new one, but to the wrong address. Waiting for the third one now. To be fair, they were super cool about shipping another one no questions asked, and in glad because the house they shipped it to (our old house), the renters there acted like they had no idea about it coming.

 

Haven’t done much of anything lately, was too busy with the move to the new house, to pool build, and my kid’s XC stuff. But yesterday I put my rack and RTT back on and today did a few small things. Finally got this bottle opener mounted on the rear of my @Pelfreybilt bumper. Now I don’t have to worry about losing my other one.






Also, replaced my broken S2S buckle on my RTT. If you have a RTT, these are a worthwhile mini modification to the original straps.

 

Finally got 2 free days, so went up to the greater Flagstaff area for an overnighter. Made the drive up to Lockett Meadows and was almost ran off the mountian by 7-8 15pax vans with old ladies driving them down. Was stressful getting by them. Then went to EOTW and finally came home through Sedona so that we could buy some Oak Creek apples. Couple pics:

Made pizzas on the Tembo Tusk again, but forgot to take pics. Always a hit though!

Those pics from Oct look god damn amazing. I'd love to make a trip up there sometime after I get my truck.

 

Started ripping out the interior to put some sound deadening in. Time for a 12 oz break....

 

Got a decent layer of the Noico 80 down, and then got a good layer of CCF on the roof and a decent one on the floor before I ran out. Tried to do as much of the floor as possible, left the area behind the seats since it will be easier to access when I do the doors. Took the scraps of Noico 80 and added small second layer areas on the back wall. I’ll finish that second layer once I do the doors.

Oddly, the second box I had of Noico was black and not silver, website says it’s the same product though.


Time to take a break and then start to reassemble. Overall, easier than I thought it would be, as long as you don’t want it *perfect*..... I just wanted my cab a little quieter.

 

As a side note: this shit is sharp once you cut it, cut myself like 5 times lol.

was actually real easy to work with. Used a utility knife to cut it. Make sure you have one of those roller wheels too.

The Noico CCF was insanely easy to work with also! Cute with scissors and the pieces are smaller and more manageable.

64sqft did the everything but the doors, double on about 1/2 of the backwall.

 

Awesome and haha I didn’t buy the wheel but I knew I should have, How’s the sound reduction so far?

 

It’s definitely noticeable, took a quick trip up the 79. Road noise seems like it moved to the doors, so definitely works because that’s the only area without any deadening g right now lol.

Roof rack noise is quieter too, assuming it’s just the roof as a whole, but I always blame the prinsu

 

Buy the roller your fingers will thank you.

 

Looks good man . Make Shure an ccf the outer door skin for best road noise reduction.
