All stock 2017 OR, auto headlamps stopped turning on tonight. Manual works as expected, highs, and fogs. Just no auto. It’s plenty dark here (rain).

    Ideas?

Are you sure it's dark enough? Even with the cloud cover, during sunlight hours, mine sometimes didn't turn on. Also, anything covering the sensor on the dash?

You can adjust the sensitivity in the settings on the headunit. Has to be pretty dark on the default setting.

Auto is turned on, truck is in dark garage with no lights. Worked earlier today in the rain, thunderstorms here now. Is there a fuse for them or? They used to turn on when I’d pass under a bridge.

There's fuses for everything, just gotta find it. Somewhere in the manual it tells you what is where

I’m a moron, I think I know what it is. Early today I was driving, working fine. Not working now, parked in garage, not in drive. DRL setting. Will test later. I just panicked, must be a lemon.

    I was wrong, wrong, again?

All settings are correct. The DRL’s do not turn on when light switch is in auto, parking brake off, drive, reverse park etc. My headlights, drl’s, fogs, only work manual, BUT NOT AUTO.

Since I have yet to find a decent fuse box decyphering tool, does anyone have a nice, clear explanation of YODA’s gibberish abbreviations? Not in the manual, currently digging through the factory service manual.

Do you have anything on top of the dash in the right corner by the A pillar. That's where the sensor is. If something is on top of it, the auto lights won't work.

It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, but if you cover a photovoltaic sensor, lights will default always on because light is not hitting the sensor.

As for fuses, I doubt a fuse will be the culprit. If a fuse was blown, your entire light circuit would be out, preventing operating in manual or auto mode.

Yes, there is a state park sticker, but the DRL’s should always come on regardless, they were not, was immediate flag. The state park sticker increases the sensitivity, they come one in less darkness. Has to be in the passenger side lower window, given my occupation I try to follow the law, well mostly, mostly. Cough speeding.

I wasn’t wholly true in the initial post. I was hoping to gain an understanding of the system, fuses, etc.

I installed a plug and play T-harness remote start using oem keyfob today. All worked well in testing and first drive, got home and parked it. Second time out is when the problem arose.

First I removed the bypass, t harness still connected, no DRLS auto, everything else okay. From start to moonroof to sub. Then I removed the t harness, alls back to normal. Must be crappy t harness. I took my time and know how to work with delicate electronic hardware.

    I apologize for the ambiguity.

Out of curiosity, which manufacture did you go with for the t-harness / remote start? I installed a Compustar system on my wife's SUV a few months back and used their t-harness as well. Smooth install without any issues.
