Yeah, all plastidip. It was time consuming to tape off all the extra area (which I did a poor job of) and then waiting about 15 minutes for each quote. Peeling it was easy, the V6 came out perfect without any extra effort. The other two side badges came out well but began to peel away with the base in certain spots. I could have possibly avoided this if I had a toothpick handy to keep it from peeling off or possibly waiting longer before peeling. Not sure to be honest. It was my first time using plastidip but for a $6 can, this was a cheap fun mod that looks great. I hate chrome. :) And if you blow it, you can just peel it and redo it.

The trick was making sure it was really clean, then cleaned with alcohol/wipes/q-tips.

They generally only break coming out, so even if you break some on your old grill you can easily pop the new one in without breaking any. Honestly it has twice as many tabs as it needs anyway, no one would ever know if some broke.

Finally go around to installing the Meso turn signals. Look great. Perform great. Much brighter than the originals. One less piece of “chrome” :bananadance::thumbsup:

It has many small specs missing down to the chrome underneath...but these are what I call failures. It will peel up from those specs that start.

I'll probably do Rustoleum and go with a mat finish. I did 4 coats of black and 2 of clear on my badges and love the way they turned out. They were satin though , I think.

I might also go with bedliner spray if I feel comfortable with the spray pattern. I've had trouble with them not spraying enough grit in the past.

The 3rd option is to get it Linex'd. This would be the ultimate and I can speak to it's durability as it's on my Diamondback cover as well. Good stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTOzcwzh5H0

In the end, I don't mind the shape of the grille....I mind the fake chrome.

Cool, that makes sense. the derp is definitely the cheap way. I'd be interested in seeing if you go with rustoleum/matte. I'm guessing that would have to hold up better than the derp. I guess the biggest cost in doing any of this is time short of the line'x which is probably rock solid!

Used the AUXBEAM NF-s1 LED lowbeams I installed yesterday. Impressed work very good, now just need to decide on which fogs to install. The LED OEMs, SAE rated superbrightled pods with the Caliraised bracket or these same AUXBEAMs. Also added some TVD vinyl, for the gear selector, horrible glare.

Like that bike mount. Is that the Rockymounts loball track locking truck mount? Did you have to modify it to work on the rail or did it fit the way it comes? Need something like that to work with my tonneau cover. Thanks

I actually had to remove one of my @mesojdm ultimate turn signals tonight.20180920_192215.jpg

Because I finally got to install my passenger mirror camera.

I finished up when it was dark so I ended up with crappy photos.

Yes it is. Bought from Amazon. No mods, it's designed for the bed rails as is. Used for first time today. Rock solid at 75 MPH. I guess most of wind is blocked by cab. I used a bungee at each end of bike with factory cleats for added safety. Great product. Took 2 minutes to install.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about fuel mileage and I'm sure most of it is due to large, heavy, oversized tires combined with extra weight as well as accessories on top of their trucks. I still have my stock tires/wheels and don't carry around any extra weight. I have been very pleased with the mileage I'm getting. This is from today going to work then home. Difference in mileage is a stop at the store going home. No interstate driving though. Also went on a 1,960 mile trip back in July and averaged 21.7 mpg loaded down with some mountain driving. 20180920_062433.jpg 20180920_152940.jpg
