Add one more to next years to do list.

"Annual Fall Ride" at Tri County Fire Dept in Zoe Kentucky. We did this years version yesterday (Sept 15th) It was awesome! As with any event like this, it was 80% Jeeps. (WAG...maybe 150 4wds) But our group was a little more diverse. We had our compliment of Jeeps. 6 XJ's and 3 JKU's. But after that, it got a little more "eclectic". We had a Toyota Land Cruiser 60 diesel with right hand drive. We had a Chevy Colorado, Nissan XTerra, Toyota Sequoia, LR Discovery II, and 2 Tacoma's. We got some looks from the Jeep guys when we met them on the trails!

All but 3 drivers had in excess of 30 years off roading experience. VERY competent group! We were able to cover a LOT of miles without pushing the pace too much. Just keep moving!

we started the day at the overlook where you cross the wooden bridge. Had one of our Jeep drivers almost in tears he was so scared of crossing it. Hell of a view!

Saw a T4R nose over and barrel roll down a hill! (In another group...not one of "ours".) No one hurt.

It was the driest I ever remember seeing RRG/Slade/DBBB trails. Actual dust....

Saw a Jeep Rubicon with 42"'s, an LS, Crawl box, and Currie Axles. (That I would have drove home!) Essentially a rock bouncer with a Jeep body and ladder type frame. It was impressive to say the very least.

Met one of the primary owners of Hollerwood and had a long talk. Those guys are really working to get this place open. ....One word. Politics.

6 of our group was old Army buddies. We get together every few years to do a run like this. Last was Dirt Devil in 2016. We had a BLAST!

Our "trail guide" lives in Zachariah. He knows trails that aren't on any map. We were on some that were pretty tame and some that could only be described as insane! Only one "winching" though.

The Fire Dept hosted a cook out afterwards. Grilled burgers and hot dogs! Won a "door prize".....Jeep parts......Traded that for a gift card to THE ROCKHOUSE (near Miguels Pizza) Food must be good....the place is always packed.

All my pictures are scenery or the crowd at the drivers meeting. Will post some later when I have a chance.

Yall remember this dude? @beertimecontinuum @Bluegrass Taco

He lives 10 minutes from my house and built my brother-in-laws 3-linked XJ on 1 tons. He had a picture from this day in his shop with me in it. Had no clue.

Using his shop to get my clutch swapped hopefully. Deeds motivated me to get clutch swapped out after 10.5 months of it sitting in the yard

My mom had a Bronco II waaaaaay back when I was a wee lad. Bet that thing would make a killer trail rig. Slap a 302, or bigger in it, some Dana whatever axles, :welder: all the diffs, :sawzall: all the metals. Make fat tars fit!

Google "Dennis Carpenter". They sell early Bronco and Bronco II swag. A buddy in Indianapolis has a built-to-death Bronco II. They can be made badazz!

We need to do Blue Holler as a group. Thats where the Bronchitus video was taken. Smallish park but a fun place. Much better than it used to be since it re-opened. An hour south of my house. Near Mammouth Cave.
