Yes! The point of a relay is to use a low current change to trigger a large current change.

The relay in this compressor has to be able to handle the 60A current that the twin compressors use at full draw, which is enough to melt any normal switch. To turn on (or close) the relay a very low current (usually 5A or less) would be needed to allow the full current to flow through. I found that the TWIN uses part Pro Quip P1512XP as the relay. I'm waiting on them to reply with what the actual current requirement to activate the relay is.

[EDIT: ] Pro Quip got back to me. The relay used in the ARB TWIN only requires ~1A of current to activate, so any dash switch used only needs to be able to handle 1A (most can handle that, easily).

Ok... Better late than never.
Just placed my order for the EE Bed mount & harness.
It will be nice to be able to use my lockers, air up, and power my camp shower again.

Spend the extra money and get the wiring harness kit. Should be very simple with that. I say this not having installed mine yet. I hope to do it with in the next week or two and will report back

Buy the harness and then post pictures of your full install. I have a harness I haven't installed yet and I would like to get some others ideas.:D

Just got my EE mount and ARB Twin installed. I love this setup - the extended harness is great, although I imagine it would be just barely enough length for a long bed. I ended up making a Metri-pack connector to hook up to the harness leading to my RTMR setup.

Closes just fine. I used the included spacers for the frame.

Awesome! What all is involved with the mount for the quick coupler?

I’ve been debating between the EE and the Slee engine mount. The concern I have is that there is a ton of weight on that composite bed and with the truck slamming back and forth on the trail I feel like the bed would begin to crack or tear. I don’t know.

There are pics somewhere in my build thread. I made a roof mounted setup similar to the “road shower” brand but without the $300 price tag. Uses a regulator and air from the compressor to pressurize the water.
Game changer on my last long wheeling trip.

That’s the last thing I’d be worried about.
    :notsure:

I’ve got a lot heavier shit bolted to my bed than this compressor will be...
