I still need to get that second switch panel cut out.

I had the same idea as you with drilling holes for each wire but there's not room on either side of you're running a Blue Sea Fuse box unless you want to grind down/drill through the mounting piece on the corner.

Finally got my raised corner panel cut today for my switches.

The standard panel won't fit rocker switches, so excited to give this guy a try.

I ended up cutting out the second slot over the two circles meant for a USB slot and volt meter. I already have a voltmeter near the fuse box, and prefer my USB outlets closer to my bed.

Finally got my raised switch panel installed today, muuuuch cleaner.

If anyone wants my old one, let me know. It will fit 6x of the traditional rocker switches..free99

I got one of these mounted up. We had to make custom brackets but it’s easy to setup and break down. It’s mounted right to the sides of the drifter so it’s extremely stiff and well positioned. It’s also flush with the roof so it doesn’t add height to the whole camper.

    • Tinted
    • 40” x 15”
    • Comes with screen
    • Simple toggle latch.
    • Actual opening is 15.875” x 12.750”.
It will be added to our site soon and we can definitely switch windows for those who have ordered with the windoor option.

We have dogs too and definitely get it. It was like pulling teeth to get this option, in this size, with vertical sides (vs. the standard camper-shell parallelogram shape). But it paid off.

I think these windows bridge gap. Ventilation without having to lift up a windoor really allows for more exterior side mount options and depending on the mounting still provides a pass through.

Hi Iggy, Phil, Re: the Alu-Cab awning. On a Stock Tacoma on level ground, how high up will the awning be, roughly? Thanks.

The awning will be approximately 24" - 25" above the height of the bed rail.

    IMG_0410.jpg

Because the awning's angle is completely dependent on the angle of the vehicle, it may vary depending on how level the truck is. Since most people level out their trucks, it should work out for most situations.

As Iggy mentioned, the top of the awning does not stick above the roof of the camper. And we were able to keep the rear mounting point only 1" away from the camper. We could have mounted it flush, but the bolts that connect the C-channel and hinge bracket (of the awning) stick out about 1/2" from the back of the awning.

    Shadow Awning.02.jpg

A solid awning side/ rear mounting point was just one of the reasons our lower roof is taller and vertical. Actually, it's reason #3...

We just happen to be a Goosegear dealer ;)

That system will work great! We are also working on something with them...

    Mmmmm... definitely interested in that!

Their prices just kill me. 80/20 isn't cheap, not are Accuride slides but $1700 for a stacked drawer is nuts. I almost wish there was a materials or recipe only option with them but I understand them not wanting to sell their secret sauce recipe.

That being said the construction on their fridge slide I have is fantastic and far surpasses anything I've done with the exact same materials.

I’ll email you an estimate with that buildout. It’s a really nice setup.

Aside from choosing and sourcing the right combination of components and materials, designing the cabinets for optimal space efficiency (inside the cabinets and maximizization of the living space between them), and fabrication/ assembly, you are paying for precision with Goosegear.

Some of the cabinets may work for a person’s setup and others may not. It’s nice that you can get the plate system and pick which units will work.

Not for everyone, but I think it would be hard to find one of their customers with regrets.

Edit: I didn’t answer the main question. It will fit the Drifter.

Yeah after talking with Brian a lot we see the thought process that goes into it.

It's like our campers. Simple straight forward, functional, and a lot of it just makes sense. It took a lot of thought and consideration of variables to get to a point that seems natural and intuitive. Their units are the same way. Lots of considerations went into making them.

Does anyone have a shot of a set of Total Chaos bed stiffeners installed? Preferably with some kind of drawer system installed.

Pretty sure my bed sides have started to pull away :annoyed:
