Use one if it makes tou more comfirtable but not really needed. Open that hand up and just let the bow float.

100% agree. That and consistent anchor point and having your peep perfectly in line with your sight circle.

It’s funny you should say that, I can’t recall how many times I have found people to have the wrong size Peepsight in their bow and not match circle to circle with their length of pull and set up

I need to decrease both n the hunting bow. This is why like super peeps you can chand the orifice size until you find what works.

With that Id say you missed...normally a wounded bull will not go and bugle. Finding the arrow helps immensely but not necessary. Id say you did your best, and had a good experience. Its really what its about...

I had couple missed shots last year with a rifle and muzzle loader! And the muzzle loader should have been a dead shot! but when your rear sight is about to fall off (my fault for not checking it) I could have been 2 feet high or low...this year I am going to be prepared!

Are those Tight Spot quivers worth the cost? $160 or so dollars just seems a lot for a quiver. I guess comparing them to the other they aren't. I can't remember quivers costing so much money though when I used to shoot as a kid.

They’re not supposed to cost that much no, archery seen has exploded with over priced items in the last several years

There is no way in hell I would pay $160 for something to hold five arrows. What a rip off. My Raw bow didn’t cost that much, and the deer don’t seem to mind, LOL

Agreed. A lot of the cost I'm seeing on parts I have been questioning.

Awesome freaking story! That's completely different hunting that I'll probably never experience! You can always look more but a grid search is the best way to find blood/ a arrow. Seems like you just completely missed, which sucks but that's part of it. 40 yards can still be a very difficult shot even in the open. I've missed my fair share of deer at 30,40, and 50 yards.

Thanks man! I hoped some people would like it. It's a long read but hopefully I told it well.
I am going back out tomorrow until the end of season on Monday and hopefully seal the deal! Feeling a lot better now after a few days off at home - much needed. Even if it is a 4 hour drive back to the spot I think I would've gone crazy if I stayed haha

20 yds elevated tonight, I think my peep is a little high and trying to compensate. But I'll see what tomorrow brings from non-elevated position.0920181925.jpg

That was a good read and it sounds like you learned a lot. That's a long time to be alone with your thoughts. For some that's needed for others your mind wanders.

Although you didn't get your Elk, you learned a lot and have done more than most ever will in their life times.

The next time you will be more prepared and the time after that more and so on. I know it sucks to not get your Bull but if you don't take a chance you never will.

This was a good a story.

should feel comfortable when you pull back the bow. If you are bobbing your head around it needs to get adjusted.

it happens to everyone if you hunt long enough. We have all missed or made a bad shot. It sucks not knowing if you wounded an animal or if it was a clean miss. shoot your bow to make sure your pins are on. We all go through the same thing when that happens don't let it get in your head.

Draw your bow wth your eyes closed. Settle into your anchor point and nose on the string. Open your eyes and you should be looking right through your peep to your front sight. If not look to see if your peep is high or low. Your gead should not have to move to adjust to the peep
