Ruger 10/22 Modders/Owners Thread

Does anybody here not like the mag release on the 10/22? I sold mine and went a different route because of it. Love my marlin model 60. But i am thinking about buying a takedown so i can throw it in a bag.

 

PMACA chassis, tac-sol SBX barrel, tactical innovations receiver, volquartsen trigger guts.

 

I just purchased my first gun yesterday and I pick it up on Thursday after a three day waiting period. It is a Ruger 10/22. I see people do mods on their guns and I can’t imagine turning this rifle into the above picture is easy or cheap lol. But can someone point me in the right direction of how I would begin to build a gun like the above one. Here’s the model I bought:

 

It all depends on your intentions with the rifle... It may very well perform to your needs in stock form. I've got $150.00 10/22s, and I've got $1,500.00 10/22s (10 total). If you just want to spend money, you've found a perfect avenue...

 

This makes so much sense to me now. Form vs function like most modding. Being a new rifle owner it’s hard to decipher between the two. That reference alone gives me a better understanding,

 

Ended up with this thing on a budget. Decent reviews on Amazon and now I just have to zero it in and test it out hopefully sooner than later.

 

I've always wanted a 10/22. the takedown version looks nice and I like the bag it comes with.

Going to test out the HC3R mag hopefully this weekend

 

I have the 3 way version of that. You never know when you'll need the full 30 rounds! lol

 

I ordered the Hightower 90/22 bullpup mod case for my 10/22. Love the look and the feel. Very well worth it. It shoots awesome and has a better feel due to it now being a bullpup.

 

That looks solid, is that a longer than normal stock?

 

Thanks, stock length stock. Feels pretty solid also. Dialed it in at 50 yards and could consistently hit a quarter on a string. Only have about 75 rounds through it also so still getting comfortable with it

I wonder if there is more aftermarket parts for the 10/22 or the AR platform. My last build, the ONLY Ruger parts were TG cross pins and the V block and screws.

 

I’m not sure where you were looking, but there are dozens and dozens and dozens of aftermarket 1022 manufactured parts out there

 

I would go as far as to say there is a "plethora" of aftermarket availability for the
10-22 ! Lol

 

I agree, however there is just as many for the AR platform as well.
