Clips into the center cap from inside of the wheel. Basically holds the plastic tabs in place

Yours came with the rings or did you swap them over from your stock wheels?
Mine don't have the rings. No issues with fit of the caps either. :notsure:

So as an update...all the yellow zinc came off. No longer yellow anymore  kind of annoyed by it.

More importantly, I haven't done anything since I put them on that would really cause them to wear off. Unless they sun in the Utah sun... I washed my truck with a mild powerwasher the other day, but zinc coatings shouldn't wear off that easy.

    Edit: Just found this:

" It's a finish that was originally developed for automotive fasteners and is very thin compared to any other zinc (galvanized) finish you'll run across. There shouldn't be any clearance issue. It's called an aqueous coating dispersion and is sometimes described as a galvanic wash.

It's really thin... specifically so that it won't gall threads normally. You'll sometimes see it referred to as yellow zinc chromate.

Might not work so well on the hard brake lines as it rubs off really easily. Usually a pencil eraser will remove most of it without much effort so anyplace where you'd have the brake line rubbing against anything else like the frame or a fastener would remove the finish in no time. "

Yep. For my aftermarket yellowed bolts...which are now silver...I should have known better when the install wore all the yellow off the hex corners.

The wheels themselves have been solid and durable for everything I've put it through!

May have to give this stuff a go.

They came with them. Maybe something Vin added to them down the road. Was curious if anybody actually didn't put them back in and had problems. The tabs alone seem more than enough to me
