4x4 access cab or a double cab. I may get one at the dealer auction because my roommate works there and I can get one for nothing there. THen I'll have enough money to mod it out back to how my prerunner was or better

 

Well damn, I guess getting a whole new truck trumps my recent mods.

Glad to hear. Are you planning to get some of the mods done in the next 3 1/2 weeks? Did you strip any of the stuff off your old truck?

 

I didn't strip anything off besides my cb. lol may just have a stocker by then. I have to get a truck and then depending on what I get the new one for is if it will get moded by then.

anyone know anything about where to mount a hi-lift on a 1st gen? I keep throwing around ideas, but I have no idea.

And she told me when I saw them a few weeks ago. I told I was going to be there and stay at there house the day before the trip and I told her your name and she said you work together.

 

Small, small world. Well I can say you have a cool aunt. In fact, the whole family seems real nice (I've only met her husband and daughters a few times).

 

thanks man. Yeah they are a lot of fun. I like going out since my uncle doesn't have a son he always takes me out to do shit. He is a welder and thats how i got into it and bought mine.

 

I would say buy universal mounting brackets and stick it somewhere in the bed. Finding a place in the access cab would be pretty trick. While it's not my favorite, there is always the bumper mount too.

 

Thinking about on the front part of the bed, bout the sturdiest place. I also did hold it up tot he bumper tonight to see what it looked like.

Maybe on top of the wheel well, who knows.

 

I would probably do the front or side of the bed. I once saw one mounted vertically up in the front corner of the bed tucked up tight to the cab (like a cb antenna). It stuck up less than a foot above the cab. It looked kinda cool and didn't take up hardly any space.

I like bumper mounts if they fit on top of the bumper but I don't care for them mounted on the front.

 

Yeah, I also stuck it in the front corner of the bed, on the passenger side. Would be easy to stick there, I could just bungee it in for now. Oh well, no bigee. I'll figure something out. Just small details now.

There are even a few mods I recommend you consider in there.
We may also want to start thinking about who's bringing community stuff like BBQ's, canopies, etc.

hey greg so i have the weekend of the meet off and well i should be getting the 4runner sometime very soon possibly tomorrow , anyway i am a for sure for the trip man!!

buuuut the runner that im gonna end up with is nothing like that camo one i was asking about on the NM thread, its pretty much stock with BFG AT's but im fine with that haha. ill try and have a CB and some tow straps by then but thats about all ill be able to get.

other than that im way excited!!!
