I just checked oem part #s for a 2009 4runner and fj cruiser. They are the same so when I fit one up to @elnip's 4runner I'll let you know how it fits.

The rear of my y-pipe is shorter than on the tacoma, 4runner, or DJ cruiser so you will have to mate up your existing exhaust regardless.

Edit: I also just checked the 2007's and they are also the same part #.

Xrunner is on the 5lug frame, so I imagine it has different locations for cross memebers at the very least. Might work might not

@Roostfactor I am simply a shade tree mechanic and do not fully understand the engineering behind exhaust designs. With that said, I have a few questions for you. What is the difference in length between your pipe and the stock Y? Also, is the flex pipe with v-band better than the factory ball flange? Could you add a catalytic converter after the merge collector on the y instead of the muffler side or is there a reason you did it the other way around?

Mine is roughly 3" shorter than the factory Tacoma. 8" shorter than FJ and 4Runners.

I think the flange is somewhat preference but a vband requires no gaskets to seal and is likely stronger.

My y-pipe cant be any longer or it wouldnt fit. The factory y installs from the rear, mine from the front. It gets a little close getting mine to fit as is, much longer and you wouldnt be able to slide it into position.

Thanks for the info, @Roostfactor. Would the fitment issue be the same on a longbed? I’m assuming we have more room to slide it in but I can’t go look at my truck right now since I’m traveling for work.

Not where the y-pipe goes, that is the same. You have more room between y-pipe and muffler.
My y-pipe gets installed from the front of the vehicle while factory installs from the rear.

    Keep us updated on that.

I just need to find someone local, that's certified in Cerakote.

Well Cerakote is a name brand like Kleenex. I called 3 powder coating shops and only 1 does ceramic. They had 3 color choices. Gotta start saving for it...

They are not wanting to talk pricing over the phone which is never good. But the guy doesn't want to step on his dick so I get it. I'm going to see him once I have it in hand. Ill keep you guys posted.
