    I did manage to get out and mow my front yard last night, under a very black sky and a few drops. My wife thought I was crazy, but Man-well was doing the neighbor's across the street, and this cracker ass wasn't going to be shown up!

    For those of you in the CenTex area with pups, and worried about snakes, I highly recommend snake training. We had ours trained by this place:

    And it is very effective. $60/dog/snake, which might seem expensive, until you buy one vial of anti-venom...

    Show him one of the many YouTube videos on the process. Dogs can smell snakes from a long way off, and the training associates the smell with the shock they get; they won't go anywhere near it.

    My female bloodhound has had snake training and, she will freeze, hair stands up on her back until she gets a sense of where it's at.
