Go out of state. Especially since you're in orange county. Dealers here wont haggle prices on any Tacoma.

I paid 41k for my white 18 pro last month in SC. I would highly suggest to look out if state.

I used cars.com and got mine at MSRP. I did go to Louisiana for it.

If your interested in looking out of state. Many Commiefornians have came up north to Orygun. There is a dealership that is in Eugene and Bend called Kendall Toyota. They love selling trucks to our neighbors to the south.

I searched for a 2018 MT in July and got one built July 27, 2018 for 1500 over MSRP in Utah.

At the dealership two miles away from me, there are two Calvary blue 2018 with 500 off MSRP. I'm thinking of leasing one.

    I'm in Illinois.

Bought my Tacoma there. Great dealer to work with. Phil Bickel has been selling Toyotas for 27 years.

When I bought my truck, I was vague about how I was going to pay for it. They kept asking how I was going to pay, I said I'm not sure. When we were in financing we wrote a check for it. He said, you know, that deal was assuming you would be financing through us. I shrugged my shoulders and we finished up the paperwork. Once you are in the finance room, they're not going to pull the deal.

    Agree with everything said here.

    1. Be willing to go out of state.
    2. Know what you want to pay, and be firm on that. Make sure you discuss any fees the dealer might want to tack on at the end.

I found several throughout the country advertised as 2-3k under MSRP - but with 2-5k in dealer fees after. Still not sure how that isn't false (or at least very shady) advertising... Finally ended up getting one on the other side of the country in NC for ~$2.5k under MSRP out the door (before title/taxes which I had to do in my home state). Made a great excuse to take a cross-country road trip!

lol you sure got them good! Not really they were just trying to come up on extra $ on a common vehicle, didn't work and good for you for sticking to it.

But you seem to not understand supply and demand, that won't work on high demand cars and every deal has a story... people will brag they got pro for below MSRP but not mention their trade was completely ripped, or they gave it right back in finance reserve or backend products.

There's simply no reason to sell a pro for below sticker when other dealerships will happily pay that plus give you whatever you want on allocation. Hell you could send one to auction brand new and fetch msrp. So in your mind why the hell would someone give up $1,000 for absolutely no reason?? It just doesn't make any sense.

As if sorting cars.com by lowest price will get you anything other than a bunch of BS lol. Read the yelp reviews for the dealer I was talking about its a bunch of people saying they play the exact same games I just called out...

I assume you quoted me but we're replying to someone else? My comment had nothing to do with a basic understanding of supply and demand, lol.

That might be true for some, my PRO was under MSRP. Paid cash, no trade in. $40,600 (manual transmission with mud flaps, toyoguard platinum and window tint) out the door. Title/taxes on me when I got back to my home state. I'd imagine deals are a bit tougher to find on an automatic, but as the 19s are showing up, I'd bet you could find one under MSRP without any shenanigans.
