I'm fried.... are you wishing you had normal work days, because you're working too much, or not enough?

    This whole trade is undermanned....

Ill have about 15 months worth of hours in a 12 month period. I don't mind working OT for specific clients or runs at a time. But days when I get 3 hrs sleep because of 3rd shift and I still need to show up at 6:45pm for an overnight double, it gets a bit rough. Especially when you're sick and you go in because you don't want to call out , you're not only on the hook for going in, but also a butt ton of OT on top of it. There's no wiggle room

Gotcha. Yeah, I hear ya. Pretty similar circumstances. Except, we have no 3rd shift. Just on call, and keeping customers running. Plus, new construction, retrofits, blah blah.

Sick joke, the money is great.,.. but, when you burnout.......

There are so many jobs out there that need people with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic skills that are not being filled because so many Millennials? are more worried about their FB page or new game. They need to drop the phone and pick up a wrench.

I think a lot may want to learn but because no one ever showed them how to hold a wrench or a voltmeter they have no clue that they could do that job or what it is.

It took my company 30 interviews never mind how many apps that HR threw out and 2 months to find a P.C. Tech worth making an offer to.

It goes back further than that.
I remember being told growing up, that I needed a degree to get anywhere. Tradesmen don't make money blah blah.
    It's not millennials... It's systemic.

    Regardless... No philosophy tonight....

Gonna enjoy my fire, by the water, with a nice glass of Mead, with a woman I don't deserve....20180921_190556.jpg

My fire pit is always open, and there is always fuel for the grills.....

I'm pretty easy going these days....

Hell, got more than enough yard for several people to campout.

I saw the alert and thought I’d see a light bar in your bumper but this is almost as good considering how long you’ve been trying to get around to it...

    Thank god for the weekend.

Been working OT at work trying to catch up on everything. The OT rebuilds my car repair fund, so that’s good. I probably have one season left in my snows so it will be nice to have some money waiting when the time comes.

I need to give the Vette some TLC next season. I swear every single mod I’ve done (glass roof, seats, stereo, headlights) to it has made the car worse. Most I should be able to sort out but still, groan. I’ve been so busy with life, I’ve just be neglecting everything.

    Adulting sucks sometimes.
