@OVTune So what happens when we flash to 1.05, don’t have that ugly sticker and then go to the dealer for service?

 

they dont need to know.

 

Go to one of the dozen TSB threads here and ask how many got the sticker...

 

I know I know. I’m just wondering if they will see the ID if they hook up an OBD and be like, WTF where’s his special sticker?

 

Just BS a log entry for owner performed maintenance in your maintenance records on the Toyota Owners site/app

 

So make it look like they forgot to give me a sticker, good call.

 

Make it look like you paid for a temporary TechStream subscription, performed the update yourself because your dealership gave you the runaround, and said “screw the sticker” because it’s not necessary.

 

Just to give some peace of mind , I had to go to the dealer, give them the TSB number and show them the pdf, explain I wanted to flash to the newest software, and even then they came back and said that I already had the most recent update. Then I had to read the TSB to them showing that the calibration ID should change to 04B04 or whatever. Then they got it right. 3 hours. They don’t know shit at the service center so I wouldn’t worry too much

 

Just sit back and watch all the predictions. Seriously should be any day now.

When 1.05 is ready and released we will let everyone know.
We're finishing up a few other things for this release (the logger) so we can have Flash Manager 2.0, 1.05, custom tuning all at the same time.

 

ETA to calm my nerves? Haha I’m only half kidding!
