I would have taken the time to index the spark plugs because...these motors like to sing!

Where did you procure the replacement plugs? Suckers can get expensive.

Were all the stock plugs Denso? Or were they half NGK plugs, like on the 2nd gen?

You want the open part of the electrode on the spark plug pointed towards the intake valve...I usually buy a couple extra plugs and have to thread more than one plug in the same cylinder to get it in the right position or you can cheat and buy indexing washers that slide over the plug...

How do you know where the intake valve is?

I just don’t get how you know the plug is pointing towards that. Do you count rotations by marking the plug?

You put a registration mark on the 3/8 extension drive you’ll be using to install the plug in the cylinder head that way you know where the open part of the electrode is

Just bought all 6 plugs of Rockauto for $12 each. They were the exact same iridium Denso plugs.

Why? I don't see what difference, if any, that this would make.

I just replaced the wrong ones I put in with the correct ones. Went for a drive and there is definitely a slight change. Seems more responsive to throttle and the idle sounds calmer

Hmm, what's the recommended interval again?
I just sold my 370z with 100500 miles on it, never touched the plugs or anything else.
Just regular oil changes, ran like a champ.
