Unless Ya know something we don't, or have unlimited funds, Ya can forget the super charger. I know that eccoboost is a monster. I drove one right before the Blue Taco.

Ecoboost is great dude. Twin turbos will run like crazy. Never had any engine issues with the truck.

LOL, the Taco is what it is. It gets out of it's own way but that is about it.

Best search OVTune and get to reading. Thread for the turbos is probably on the front page of the third gen section.

Have seen that but not a factory kit like the supercharger was. Bolt that on and have problems later, good luck warrantying it.

I'd be apprehensive with a new kit on a relatively new engine for this platform. But if you got the dough, why not. Can't wait to see the threads though about guys with the turbo and then getting denied warranty work and being upset about it.

You are not gonna go fast in a Toyota Tacoma 3rd gen, unless you are Ivan Stewart.

FWIW, I’ve had 3 new Ford trucks and they were the most trouble free trucks I’ve owned and that includes my Tacos. But, my last new Ford was bought in 02 and I hear times have changed. The Big 3 know how to make fullsize trucks because it essentially makes up all of their profits. They are good because they have to be. I do question the long term reliability of the newer EB engines based on what I’ve read, although I’m sure they are improving. If I opted for a fullsize Ford I’d get the Coyote V8 and just accept that the guy beside me at the redlight with the truck that sounds like a leaf blower (EB) can outrun me if he wants to.

But, it matters not, because I like the size of my Tacos, have for the last 12 years or so, and will stick with them. My Tacos also feel and sound (no rattles) new after 5 years. They are also great off road, and I need them to be.

My 08 Silverado didn’t even feel or sound new when it was new.

Toyota tries to deny warranty work on stock trucks lol. Might as well throw them a curve ball.

I’ve only had 14 vehicles in the last 8 years, not including the 25 or so flip vehicles I’ve had.

Never had a problem, just gotta have a good knowledge base and good service advisor. I had them replace a drivers side dif leak / seal even with my lift on my 11. Had backup camera tailgate handle replaced a year into owning my 15 cause it oxidized. Had my 16's rear diff replaced twice no questions and given 125k platinum warranty free of charge. Had my current 17's visor replaced under warranty due to the off road card melting into the slip cover. Had my last 17's windshield replaced when the mirror popped off with a chunk of glass, also no push back.

Just gotta have the right dealer / advisor and some car maintainence / wrenching knowledge base.

I agree here. I’ve not had any problems other than the “seat wear” issue on my last second gen Tacoma where the dealer basically tried to give me a freaking training course on how to enter and exit a truck. They replaced it but it was still a dumb experience.
