I just did this mod today and was really surprised how easy it really was. I was worried about the whole baking my headlight and then putting it back together and all that.. but it was really cool and i felt really accomplished doing it.

Thanks for your directions Viet.. you did a great job with this.

-anyone out there thinking about doing this but worried about screwing it up.. It not hard.. you can do it, just take your time and follow these directions.

Anyone try doing this with the tail lights? i was looking at them on my '10 DC LB and it looks like there is some type of a bezel in them as well, that looks like it could be painted black, similar to the headlight mod. what i really want is to tint the tail lights, but am worried about getting tickets from douche bag cops

You can, and it has been done by a few members. But, the process is different. There is no heatable material to separate the tail light. You will have to Dremel it open. And then reseal.

For what its worth, I've got two 06 Headlights I'm selling in the event you want to either practice on one or keep a back-up in case you mess up your originals. Just looking out! Trying to sell them for $80 plus shipping in case your wondering. Laters. Good luck. I settled for the smoke chrome ones. Haha. Call me chicken. I didn't want to this mod.

Quick Question (and sorry if this is covered elsewhere): How long do I have to wait after preburning to install the bezels and put the housings back together?

Phenomenal write-up. You made this too easy on us!

    Done!!!!

I'll get some pics up later. Dang, this has got to be the best mod you can do for $5 and some spare time!

Viet, I've always been jealous of how your truck looks. You keep giving away all of your secrets and mine is going to look identical!

    Thanks for the write-up.
