To those of you taking your daughters hunting, THANKS! The future of hunting depends on it. If you are not taking your daughters hunting, START!

Yes, definitely. I think most hunters take their sons, but many neglect their daughters when it comes to hunting. Hopefully, your sons will get to marry someones daughter who hunts as well. Many guys stop hunting if their wife doesn't support it.

It's great to see so many pictures here of young female hunters.

Shes only 12 but we are going to try to get her a deer this season. both her and her sister completed hunters ed this spring!

yeah, we have taken her fishing but shes not interested and shes caught some fish. Just doesnt want to be outdoorsy. Once in a while she will go bird hunting but not very often. Sadly a millenial mentality...

I didnt really go hunting much when I was a teen but not because I didnt like it but because I was stationed in TX where you had to get a lease and I never did really get in to hunting later in my career when I found out I liked hunting/fishing more than going to work/duty...;)

My daughter with her deer back in 2012. She not only field dressed it, but butchered it to. Haven't gotten my grandson into hunting yet. He's only 6. We did get him a Red Rider BB gun though.

some people just have the "love of the hunt" some people dont. Great to see hunting being passed on to the next generation....

I'm getting concerned for my step daughters, 9 and 11. At first they wanted to skip deer and go straight to elk but now they like tablets and gaming systems which I'm now limiting access to. I set up a air rifle range in the back yard and they haven't been interested so far. I'll keep trying though. They do love the meat.

At that age, they still benefit from guided learning. You have to introduce it, let them see you doing it and enjoying the experience. If that doesn’t hook them, put a wager on the shots. Make a target with $1, $5, or $10 on the bulls eye.

Canola is coming up but bugs are eating the soybeans. Its suppose to start cooling off after this weekend so maybe we will get a frost in a couple weeks and the deer will start hitting this... But I wint hunt till Nov 18th anyway so when ever they wanna come is cool with me.
