Alright... I've got a bottle of Coca-Cola from 1997... What to do?

I've got a commemorative bottle of Coca-Cola from the Coca-Cola 300 Texas Motor Speedway Inauguration dated April 5, 1997.

Looked on eBay and there are plenty there starting at $2.50 on up, but when I did the search for sold listings only, I did not see any. My guess is that this isn't that special.

What should I do? It's just taking up space (granted not much space) and doesn't seem to be worth my effort to sell.

Should I throw it away, drink it now, or stash it in the wine fridge for the next 4 years and drink it when it reaches a quarter century old? I'm curious what some of you would do.

    Don

I’d send you $5 and pay to ship it to me, pending a photo of what I’d be receiving. I have a friend who loves Coca Cola items.

Old Coke before whiskey, always risky.

I've got two bottles of Jack I got in 1988. Still unopened. Sounds like the right mixer.

After all this time I doubt it would taste very good but if it's still sealed drinking it probably woudn't kill you. Probably. Maybe.

I've actually been watching videos of people drinking old bottles of soda (one was 65 year old grape soda) and doesn't appear the people die. Mysteriously their youtube channels went silent afterwards... i'm sure they're unrelated... probably just hit the lottery or something.

I would have guessed the track to be older. It was kinda a big deal that seems long ago now.
Nice looking bottle but really, there have been many, many labels made.....now if it were a special bottle.......

So, is this a real sugar Coke?

If you decide to drink it, I’d still buy the bottle off you. I’m thinking $10 unopened, $5 empty bottle.
