Actually, the function as a wind deflector was the primary inspiration for this. I’d been trying to figure out a good way to do it when I was inspired by a solar thread the other day.

Installed a Yakima JetStream system with fairing. Waiting on the offgrid basket now. Bring it on prinsu fanboys!

Anchive Garage U Bolt Flip kit with Super Bumps.

Raised wheel by axle. Removed wheel. Placed index marks (note white paint stripes on side of base and leafs) on all spring pack parts just in case anything shifts when OEM U Bolts are backed off. If things move and you can’t get them back you may end up with having a four wheel alignment done. Yes, there is an indexing post on the spring pad BUT if you ever had loose U Bolts the post and socket can be wallowed out. Removed OEM U Bolts and base plate. Install new parts and mark U Bolt protrusion. Cut excess off the new U Bolts or you’re going to get a very nasty surprise. I then torqued to 40lb, 60lb, and finished at 80lb per Anchive. Sprayed clear coat on ends of U Bolt and nuts to prevent rust. Re-torque at 100 miles and 500 miles.

My oldest son reminded me it's the first day of fall but it's over 80 today.

I was sweating getting the Pelican case mounted as well as the Onx6 on the Prinsu

It was a high of 63° here today and overcast. It was a welcome relief from the high 70's with 80% humidity of last week.

Looks nice! 80's degrees sounds like winter for us in AZ. We are in the mid-90's in southern AZ while others in the central part of the state are still in the triple digits.

The last photo was before final torque. After 80lb torque there was one thread. To answer your question no threads are needed to extend beyond a fastener.

I graduated aviation school in 1980. The reason you want visible threads in aviation is for torque paint if used and visual inspection without having to use a torque tool.

I bought my 2018 DCSB A week ago Thursday.

Last Monday I bought a set of RBP RX3 step/ nerf bars and a Truxedo tonneau cover.
Both items were Craigslist/ FB Marketplace pickups.

The nerf bars were installed Monday night, the tonneau cover today.
I put 1k miles on the truck since I bought it.
    Lovin' it so far.

dang that humidity would drive me crazy

thanks. i've been in AZ when it was 120..I can say that I didn't enjoy it.

Thanks. I just put it on today so it's going to be a little bit before I produce them for YouTube. Check my instagram feed and mostly stories for 'previews'.

I used 1/4 inch carriage bolts and wing nuts for the case. my rule is measure 20 times, drill once, then hope I did it right.
