Now umm please explain how one screws up that badly to capsize a vessel if you have half a clue of what you are doing ?

    Well perhaps take Astro out for a burger then he did well :}

We got our daughter a Kia Soul stick shift. She had a couple of fender benders while in high school and our insurance went through the roof. So I told her, have one more accident and you better enjoy public transport because that will be in your future as I will sell the car and you can buy your own one adn get your own insurance.
She is in collage now and hasn't had so much of a scratch on the car since... Not sure if it was the thought of being on public transport or if she matured enough with her driving that is the difference.

    Well good evening.

Sorry about the loss of loved pets. It's never easy. Our 3 are about the same age and life span so it'll be rough when the time comes.

Today sucked. When we planned the job the temps were only forecasted to be 100. It got up to 108. We got the bulk of it done before it reached 105, but it was still hot, we were working with grouting rocks and there was less opportunity to stop and take a break with a tub full of grout that's "going off". We still drank tons of water and were totally soaked. I really hate working with concrete and now learned that stone and grout are right there on the same line.

Off tomorrow, get some chores done around here and go back at it Monday.

:( Sorry 'bout the fishies.... Stinks that can happen so fast

 I get tired of hearing from parents that have kids who get tickets, multiple tickets, and the kid is still driving :annoyed: and you know their insurance is going up.... but their $$ not mine, but, doesn't teach them anything when they keep getting bailed out.

It has been oppressively hot and humid here for about 6 weeks and what happens is that the hotter the water the less O2 is in the water. Couple that with an overstocked pond as they have all got bigger since I put the pond in and no appreciable rain, which also helps oxygenate the water as well, it was just a perfect storm when you couple in my lack of knowledge as I am self taught with this and hadn't had any issues since I put the pond in. The smallest goldfish was about 6" long and the Koi ranged in size from about 8" to 36". The pond is just over 8000 gallons and is filtered and really well aerated.
$300 for the new truck key and Viper key fob.
Yes, will be taking him to McD's tomorrow as he loves the fries....

McD’s fries are good for the pup but I’d drown my pain with beignets.

The key was $43 and to have the dealer program it was $67 plus tax. The key fob was $120 and it will be about $100 to get it programmed. All my own fault. On my key there is a 'G' on the metal right where the plastic meets the actual key and that means that it has a chip in it. Who knew, I certainly didn't. I put the viper in in 2013 to get a remote start as I was work in Lafayette, IN in winter and needed the truck to be warm before I left the hotel to go the plant.

Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windscreen. It is all about perspective...

I'm more pissed that a source of information we rely heavily on for scheduling work can be wrong so many times. Had we known the guessers are getting that bad we'd have rescheduled and took on something different. All they've done is predict cooler temps then, when they don't get here push their prediction out further. Eventually they'll get it right, just not now.

State car of AK is the Subie.
Do your daughter a favor and teach her to drive the manual.

I believe everyone should be able to understand and operate a clutch. I made both our boys learn and take their driving tests with a manual trans. Just my GOBO.

I thought 1 ton diesels were the AK official vehicle? Subies are the MT one...

And, I agree. Learn how to operate a clutch. Glad I learned that way. My skills are probably rusty as a 1st gen frame in PA but I'm glad I know the basics.
