For what engine / induction?

 

They could get away with it as long as the megasquirt was used like a piggyback and the stock ECU was still present with fucntioning emissions equip with all monitors ready and passed. But that would basically make it stock, as it has to be to pass visually

 

You can pay $200 every 2 years and never have to worry about smog

 

How's that? That's the cheapest thing you can do in California if true

 

dirty smog - you find these places from dicking around with these trucks in long travel / desert racing / street racing type stuff and meeting guys that will never be able to smog their truck due to engine swaps, fuel cells, etc and they know someone that will do it.

 

I actually helped those guys troubleshoot their transmission issue. Haha. They ended up manual swapping it.

Oh haha, I thought you meant a real way like registering in a rural county or something. Haha we all know about the places that'll turn their heads for some cash. Problem is they go under sometimes when a vehicle that doesn't comply is found on the streets during routine stuff. I'm just gonna register a business in MT, so I can get lifetime emissions exption and registration. I drive old stuff, can't imagine it'll all pass forever even though it all does now.
