Here are the black/black photos as promised. Had an awesome time getting it installed with Ross this morning. The whole setup is very impressive. 816F2FD0-07B2-4B0A-A615-21F709F1369B.jpg5FDEAC69-9AD4-4811-9A30-EDF8A7DBDFE8.jpg

Hey man, when I ran the wiring for my ARB fridge i ran it from the battery to the passenger side while under the hood. From the passenger side i ran it down along the other wiring harness that was there up into the rear wheel well. I drilled a hole through my wheel well up into the bed and came in right there. I run a decked system so i just drilled through a panel and mounted my plug to the decked system.

The bed is composite so i figured a hole there wasn’t going to hurt anyone.

That’s why i crossed the vehicle under the hood specifically not under the chassis. My fridge is on the passenger side and my cubby’s are covered with the Decked. Guess it depends on your needs. I’m likely going to run another power line down that side later for a fuse panel on that side for other goodies.

My fuse panel is under the hood by the master cylinder. I will have to figure it out, just want it to look right.

@DoorDing, did you get a black GFC or is it a MGM color match GFC? Whichever it is, I want your color for my GFC coming in May for my MGM Tacoma. It looks fantastic

Yes it’s expensive.... but it’s quality exceeds its price i promise you. Pricing out a good fiberglass top and a quality RTT is what got me to the GFC in the beginning

At what point do you get to pick the extras that you want with your camper?

Guessing it's before they start building it 10 weeks before pickup?

She emailed me 2 to 3 weeks prior to my build date with a list of questions about configuration and accessories.

Yeah a few weeks before your build date. All you really have to decide right than is window configuration. Color and interior options don’t have to be decided until later.

Come to think of it I got an Email from Graeme about my truck specifics and windows well before talking to Elise about other options.

Long story short I wouldn’t sit by the phone, it’ll be a bit. Still it is exciting isn’t it.

Did you end up going with windows? I thought about it and realized my spare on my swing out blocks my view already.

After quite a bit of thinking I went no windows at all. I talked to @wileydavis about it and he said he honestly prefers none and insists the interior will stay the coolest without them. I also was going for the contractor look on my truck, I like to be able to park and not stand out as much as possible. Plus i still think no windows is most secure (at least is less likely to invite theft).

I have heard several good arguments as to getting cab side only window which would allow you to open the tailgate and rear hatch (move tire swing in our cases) and back up that way. Personally I’m comfortable backing up with side mirrors and if it’s somewhere super sketchy I’ll opt for a spotter.

Also the glass adds weight, and some cost, I figured for similar or less money i can run a camera Bluetooth to my iPad and see much much better anyway....

Obviously your needs may be different but I really prefer no windows.

I'm with you, makes complete sense! I'm trying to keep this setup as light as possible and windows, although they may not weigh a ton, seem unnecessary.

Went ahead and photoshopped the black and grey GFC on my silver 2nd gen. Here's how it looks..Thanks for the default pictures to those who provided them a few pages back.

Edit: The black one is so long because it's off a 5ft truck. I'll redo it if someone has a side shot of a black one on a 6' bed

While I opted for black, I’d say your screen name necessitates you opt for the lightest color possible. That and it looks awesome!
