I'm trying to figure out a place that is hidden in my 2001 Tacoma for a subwoofer. it has such a small cab i'm struggling to find out if this is possible with out moving my back seat brackets forward to taking out any paneling. Any suggestions?

JL makes a Stealthbox using a 10W3 that hides nicely between the rear seats. Not entirely hidden nor cheap, but easy and doesn't really stand out.

Also assumes you have an x-cab

There is enough airspace in the rear quarters for a couple small subs, but turning that into an enclosure would be a lot of effort.

Some have repurposed the storage cubbies with varying degrees of success as well

I've done a couple different things trying to keep things somewhat stealthy.

Not as stealthy, but still doesn't stand out from the outside

You can probably fit a 6" or 8" sub in one of the under seat compartments.

My 02 DC Pre Runner I've got a custom sub box behind the rear seat with (2) 8" shallow mounts Pioneer subs

Put both seats down, I'd like to see the other side with the amp (assuming it's there).

You can always get a slim under seat sub/amp combo. So far I've like the Rockville one in my truck. I had it in an Ext Cab before and now in my single cab.

Here you go , as mentioned it's a custom sub enclosure with (2) Pioneer 8" shallow mount subs and it thumps hard for being such a small non ported enclosure

The amps are located under both front seats and are Alpine amps , they're Alpine MRV300 and MRV 500 and my head unit is a Pioneer NEX 4200 and will be changing over to a Pioneer 4400 soon
