The only thing I would do different is get the TRD Pro.

    Yes! I wanted a Toyota truck 4x4 Manual, I had an 86 4Runner 22re 5spd.
So now I have a more refined 4x4 4cyl manual, with slightly better gas mileage! It's simple, fun, and good looking. Perhaps not perfect, yet so far reliable, 9k and smiling.

Definitely would get the same truck and connfiguration. Got what I wanted, cement long bed off road 4x4. Sometimes I wish it was a bit shorter (most angles look better on SB in my opinion) but then there are times I am glad I have the extra foot and those make it worth it to me.

3 things that make me disappointed in my 2018 cement Long box Trd off-road loaded are motor and transmission and fuel economy! I came from a 2013 sr5 short box, miss the power and transmission. Fuel mileage is almost the same. So I should have gotten the tundra for sure. I would have lost fuel economy but the platinum would have made up in size power and creature comforts!

I considered the 4 runner again, but needed the bed space for hauling. I also had a high mileage 1990 4 runner if memory serves me correctly, been a long time. It was a beast!

I voted hell yeah.... but here’s my caveat: the market has progressed a year, and since I have a third vehicle I’d probably wait and see what the new 4runner is going to be like. And the baby vapor-raptor. Market has calmed on the Pro as well so that would be in the mix. I got my DCSB OR for $35’ish. A Pro at $40’ish would compete.

I love my truck the way it is, NOW. After the lift, rims/tires, regear etc. It’s freaking great.

I’d be sad AF if an idiot texting ran a light and totaled it.

That being said, I voted “no”, I will not buy again. I can’t see myself going down the same road to rebuild a replica, because nothing can replace what I currently have and appreciate. I’d be broken (seriously, this truck has grown on me and is my first ever brand new vehicle).

If I was reimbursed after a scenario like this, I’d for sure would like to have a long bed again. And would most likely opt for a diesel already. The Tacoma is an outstanding truck in its class, but I’d be ready to start a new slate and build a new platform

So I do like my TRDOR4X4LB but seems cheaply made. Personally the Nissan frontier I had from 2004 was better built. Unfortunately current day Frontiers are lacking in modern amenities... But still probably better built. If only the Nissan were more up to date I probably would go that direction.

Of course I would and I did.
I drove (still driving) my 1996 410,000 trouble free miles and recently purchased a new 2018 Sport.

A little more than half way through my lease. Planned on buying it from the beginning and still do. I’ll be surprised if I don’t keep this truck for 200k+ miles

Love the garage! After my truck is paid off and I buy my next house I’m hoping to get into a c7 z06. I have a c5 now and love it. If I can get 400k miles out of my truck that would be amazing.

Thanks, mine's a 2017 Grandsport. Love the variety in driving experience between the Tacoma and Vette.

Very nice! Yea I always try to keep two vehicles with some variety. Nothing better than driving the Tacoma all week then taking the Vette out for a nice Saturday morning rip.
