Would definitely be a mistake buying a modern frontier. The new ones don't come close to the Tacomas, interior and exterior.

Definitely buy again! I'm 6'3" and getting used to the seating position coming from a WRX. I added an old lumbar support to go under my knees to make it better on longer trips cuz I had some knee pain after a 3 hour trip. But I still enjoy it over the WRX!

Funny you say that. Since day 1, I've felt the seats in the Tacoma feel like they're roughly 1-2" too short. Can never really get comfortable on long trips, unless I curl my left foot up under the drivers seat w/my knee against the door. If I try to sit like I do in my 4-Runner or Pathfinder, my knees start to ache.

Take it from a Frontier owner for going on 2 years...it's reliable, but Nissan is WAY behind in the amenities department. Very outdated design..every single one from 2005 to now looks damn near identical on the inside with very few differences. Don't get me wrong,I love my Frontier..but it's no Taco, and that's why I'll be making the switch to Toyota.
I can see why they still sell Frontiers though..some people want exactly what a Frontier doesn't have a lot of..tech,updated modern interior etc.

Nah, it was an impulse buy while servicing my T4R. At minimum i would have waited and ordered what i wanted. Its been an awesome companion though.

Sounds like me. Went in on a Thursday morning to get Oil Changed on Truck and check if they had any new updates on my Transmission, left that afternoon w/a new 18 T4R Pro that just rolled off the truck. Hate when that happens. Thankfully, Fiance now has it as her daily drive, so I didn't get scolded at all. :D

I say naw only cause i would have bought the cheapest 4x4 version instead of the trd offroad. Every little extra Toyota put on to make it the offroad, i replaced doing mods.

I know. Really bums me out. Been fighting almost a year to have it fixed, as I want to keep it. But, 11 months, still having issues, and only getting worse, I need to do something soon before I'm stuck with a crap tranny till it blows out after warranty, or decides to go when I'm over 1000 miles from home working. Can't take that gamble.

Have had our 2018 TRD pro for about 2 months now and honestly for daily driver, I am starting to hate it.... I had the throttle response tsb done and yet I still find this vehicle just completely lacking in providing any sort of enjoyment while driving. I really want it GO, and it just lags.

Have yet to do any real wheeling, so maybe I can fall in love with it again. Had starry eyes also because at the time, cavalry blue was unique to the pros, but now that any base 2019 can come in this color, takes the special out of it for me.

Wife loves it, but I regret getting rid of our 2007 V8 sport 4runner.. .

Not if the tundra came with a diesel or it had a better MPG.

Tundra Diesel was very dissappointing. :( . I hear Toyota is making their own Diesel for it come 2020? If so... I may be leaving the Tacoma for a while. Unless of course, they figure out this damned Tranny crap, and OVTune Twin Turbo's come through as good as they sound. :D

Definitely would buy again. I waited and got exactly what I wanted - Inferno, Off-Road, Premium + Tech packages. I've only had it for about 6 months but it's been perfect for my needs - some light off-roading and road trips.

I like my 2018 Silver TRD Off Road Crew. I drove the inferno sport, Manual transmission and really didn't like the clutch engagement. It felt like tons of throw and engaged in the last inch or two. I have no complaints about the automatic trans, pulled my boat (2K lbs.) and 16' Utility trailer with no issues. 22.4 mpg highway, 17 city or towing so far.
