Well, I got my sweet gauge pod from 07SWB today. This is a top notch piece to say the least. ALOT nicer than any other gauge pillar Ive had in previous vehicles.

Put my Autometer Sport Comp II boost gauge in it to match my white/red gauges.

    Came out super nice

    Great work man [IMG]

As I have stated many many times before, I really suck at taking pics. And for some reason my needles show up orange, and they are super dark red[IMG]

I really like that boost gauge. It would go nicely with my white lights on the instrument cluster. Only thing I don't like is the silver trim around it.

there is a boost port on top of the plenum towards the firewall. its a pretty easy connection

wow this is an old thread :)

you can kind of see it here ( it has a plug on it in the pic). its right next to the back coolant hose

when I made this thread, it was hooked to the URD S/C and it was just a T between the intake and bypass valve

    I saw this thread for the vac/boost port location, might be easier to see;
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/performance-tuning/74154-installing-boost-gauge-05-trd-sc.html

I have the TRD boost gauge in my truck and have the hose run through the firewall.

I haven't installed the TRD S/C yet but I have looked at the unit and found the port from the above thread. Is there a hose that connects to this port when the S/C is installed or is it just capped? I'm wondering if I need to tap into whatever hose goes here with a t-connector for the boost gauge.

Is this port where you would connect the MAP sensor hose from the URD MAF calibrator w/ MAP option? I'll be installing that after the S/C is on and I get a laptop.

    -Thanks!

That port is capped when you get it. I got an elbow from Advanced Auto that fit right on it and help the hard line from the gauge on the other end.

you would pick up MAP from there too, but I dont know many people running that calibrator with the S/C

Cool! Thanks! Gadget w/ URD recommended (and their site does too) adding the MAP sensor to the MAF calibrator for S/C applications, and its only another $40. I did some light reading on it the other night and it seems like they're more common on TN and XRU forums. Lots of good info I need to sift through there. There's even a link to a site where people have posted their map files but I haven't seen any for S/C apps. I wanted the calibrator because I plan on keeping my TRD intake and wanted to make sure everything is kosher.

sounds like you have it covered. I just hadnt seen it done on any of the S/C trucks I have delt with ( 2nd Gens at least). Most run either the MAPECU or the APR X1 nowadays. If you go with the X1 you dont have to reflash the ECU at all.

But Gadget will set you up either way
