So I posted a thread last night asking about opt 7 replacement tail lights for opinions etc. didn’t get any info.

So when I finally just decide to go for and order a set, I notice it says on the listing for Tacoma lights that their not compatible with factory equipped leds. So my question is where does that leave me with my 2011 tx pro that has factory equipped leds.

I know some guys on here have bought other aftermarket sets and had no problems. Why would these be any different

Normally I’d say I could live with a cracked tail light but it pisses me off every time I walk by it and look at it

    Why aren’t they compatible?
I couldn’t find anything saying they aren’t on that link.

    I’d stay with OEM personally.

Idk why there not compatible. I would think everything would be plug in play.

I thought about staying with oem and I may still. Just looking for something different though and thought these might be worth the risk.

I attached the vague won’t fit message. I also sent their cx support a message too

That’s so misleading and cornfusing. It’s the opposite of what they list the product as:

It’ll probably be Monday at the earliest before I hear anything.

The only reviews I can find for opt 7 on Tacoma world is for the led bulbs and they were mostly positive.

Those look good, how’s the light output compared to the factory leds?

I had the original '05 tails, so going from incandescent's to LED's it was noticeably brighter. Can't comment on comparison to factory LED's though.

So to further add to confusion some of these aftermarket tail lights are listed as fitting 09-15. I’m gonna guess 2009 was the 1st yr for factory leds?
