    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
So the truck got taken down a couple notches on the coolness factor yesterday.

The broken lug stud ended up being a broken lug stud and a mangled lug stud. I removed the 3 good lugs, the one was already missing and the last wouldn't come off for anything.

I ended up getting pissed and literally ripped the wheel off (breaking the last lug stud) with a combination of pissed off and retard strength.

I already got the replacement studs from Spidertrax... I tried to press the broken ones out... but holy fuck they are in there!

I went over to the tire shop here in town. He's going to press them out (and the new ones back in) for me. Should have them back to me by Tuesday. So, until then my truck is neutered back down to normal width.

Damnit... I had convinced myself that my buck was going to be standing in the same spot I saw him last Sunday... and all I would have to do is hike in, and shoot him.

I know, it doesn't work like that, but I was trying to have positive mojo.

Well, needless to say, my buck wasn't standing in his spot... and it looks like I missed out on a cool wheelin trip with my buddys.

How was it up there though? Lots of hunters? I forgot to mention you were going to D5 deer zone and it was opening day for rifle today.

We didn't camp this weekend. Got up at 2:30 to leave the house at 3:30 to get to the trailhead by 5:30 and got to our spot by 7:00.

Sat on our spot for about 3.5 hours. Hiked back to the truck, drove to another spot, so we could hike 4 miles (round trip) to check our trail cams we had out.

What lug nuts are you using? I have installed a metric crap ton of spacers on rigs and the only time I have seen something like what you experienced is when the lug nuts were too short and the stud bottomed out inside the lug nut before pulling the wheel tight.

I seriously think someone set me up while my truck was parked at camp. It was opening weekend and there were a few instances of poaching and other shady bullshit going on in our area.

All the other lug nuts on all my other wheels were fine, and still torqued to spec, when I checked them after I found the one wheel with the lose lugs. All of my wheels were torqued the same, and I've got at least 4 or 5 guys the watched the lugs on that wheel get torqued.

The only explination I can come up with is my lugs were losened.

Definitely possible, I dont hunt anymore due to assholes.

Many times the new studs will stretch a bit during first torque and maybe that spacer ended up getting studs out of a different production batch and were more prone to stretching. If you end up having anymore issues take one of your other lug nuts off and check the inside of the lug nut for an impression of the stud. I also put a dab on antiseize on the end of a couple studs and then tighten them to final torque and then check to see if any of the antiseize ends up on the end of the lug nut dome.

We went pretty slow, and went and checked out Slickrock before, so its hard to say. A couple hours maybe, not including drive time.

Yeah sorry about that I was out of commission sick earlier this week and kinda forgot about it. After using my radio for the first time yesterday, I don't think I'm going to put any more money into my HT setup. It works fine as is, and I'd rather put that $$ into a mobile unit. So if anyone else needs it feel free to pass it along.
