    Hey everyone.
I have always enjoyed DIY on my trucks. Just wanted to show off what you can do if you want something a little different. Always tape carefully and take your time. Will have update pics down the road when they are mounted.

As of now my stock TRD wheels (16”) have been hand painted with oil based Rustoleum matte black paint with a 2” foam roller from HD. Clean all surfaces with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Blue taped carefully afterwards.

Painting the caps to the new 17” TRD Pro wheels. Used gloss enamel model paint with nail polish clear coat overlay (2 coats after enamel fully dried) not the best finish, but worth experimenting. Can always cover with vinyl.

So you recommend plastidip? I see those things everywhere getting chipped and peeling. Try again

This is what you need....$12 and 10 minutes. You can cover up your bad paint job.

And I’m not hating, just being honest. It’s bad.

I agree. The vinyl approach would have worked much better

It’s just that as soon as I read the thread title I expected to see a bob Ross thing

Not hating on the handpainting. It’s freakin minuscule. Options for stickers or paint? No one would ever even notice

Either way at least homeboy did it with his hands. Ish.

It looks fine, especially when it will get dirty...may just do matte black vinyl circles with gloss black lettering on it. Those single letters will peel over time

Only reasonable guy here. All these other pavement processes would be on all fours right up against the wheel going omg a scratch! Or OMG it’s hand done and not perfect it’s horrible
