I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-road and had aftermarket tires and wheels installed. They transferred the TPMS over from the stock wheels. I cannot get the TPMS light to turn off. Been to the dealer 3 times. Any suggestions?

Find a better dealer. Go back to the installer and get them to fix their mistake. Cover the light up with something. Say fuck it and move on. Helpful?

Its possible the installer broke one or more sensors during the swap. Was the light on when you picked the truck up after the install, or did it just now happen?

Either they didnt program new sensors right, they broke one, or battery died in it.

It’s an 18 so prolly not the batteries. It’s the sensors that came with the truck so no programming should be required. Possible that they broke one or more installing. Are the sensors on new trucks position sensitive? Is there one in the spare tire?

I had to buy new sensors cause I had the steelie wheels and the angle wouldnt work in my aftermarket wheels. The truck should relearn the location . But go back to the dealer its under warranty they should fix it free.

Go back to the shop that swapped them over. no sense in going to the dealer if they didn't cause the issue. Ask the shop to scan all 4 sensors to make sure they are working, if they cant get a signal from a sensor then they'll have to break down the tire to see if the sensor is broken. if none are broken and the sensor is not working then possibly you could try and see if dealer will warranty. It may be hard as they may blame the shop that installed the wheels.
