Yeah but it'll make me sweat. I hate humidity, I rather be in dry heat.

When I worked in a warehouse we had a bunch of huge industrial swamp coolers that were used in the summer. I hated those things. Only felt good if your workstation was directly in front of the air flow. Otherwise they would just make you feel all sticky.

 

Never heard of the joke of virgin girls going "call me" after there first time?

Whats your garage like? You can throw 2 exhust fans on top set to kick in at different temp. That will help get ride of all that hot air and make the garage feel cooler.

Yeah we as management knew it but the techs kept complaining so they had to do something. There was no way they could air condition that entire building.

I was against the whole swamp cooler thing cause not only am I not a fan of them we were an electronic repair facility. Humidity is not good for electronics. But at least all the component level repair depts were located in climate controlled rooms.

 

I’m fortunate enough to live right in front of the SF Bay and it only gets unbearably hot a few days of the year. Hottest it ever usually gets is 90-100 no humidity.

Just a standard 2 car garage. But it's attached & fully insulated so them temps stay cooler. But no need, i mentioned in some posts back, I have a little portable AC in the garage that cools it down enough to be comfortable inthe summer.

 

There are a couple megathreads here and T4R that regard them as a good value.

When do you think it sank?

We can tell it sank before 1945 because of something called low-background steel dating.

Steel produced before 1945, or before the nuclear age of the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, for example, have no trace of certain radioactive isotopes like Cesium-135 and Cobalt-60. The low-background steel found in shipwrecks are sought after for high accuracy and precision instruments, and aerospace purposes because of this.

The Titanic does not have these radioactive isotopes found in the steel. Therefore it sank before 1945.

 

Cause they don’t have fancy ball joint things? The average human doesn’t need those anyway.

 

I got in trouble in grade school for reading alot about that. They called it an "obsession" least it it was something historical and not offensive. Like dressing up like fucking Hitler.

 

I used to obsessed with the Titanic when I was younger. I had all the books and watched all the documentaries.

Why do you say it sank in 1935? Just looking at the news articles at the time and records it’s impossible that a ship like the Titanic didn’t sink.

 

Wasn't switching to diesel engines around that time
