Yeah, they're a common upgrade for those that need to correct caster and gain additional travel.

Most ships well into the mid 20th century ran exclusively on steam. As you get more modern Diesel became commonplace.

I know about the Olympic. Built in the dry dock next to the Titanic at the Harland and Wolf shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. The kneel of the Titanic was taking shape while the Olympic was being topped off.

If we want to go even deeper, the HMS Brittanic, a hospital ship in the same Olympic class, was sunk by a landlmine in WWI.

There are pictures and records of all these ships because built and sunk during their respective times. You can even see a picture of the Titanic and the Olympic as different ships, so there’s no way they can be mistaken.

I’ll watch it later. I just find it kind of strange some people believe that the Titanic really didn’t sink in 1912 considering the historical records and accounts against it.

Okay the Moon landing you can't even deny. They placed retroflectors (mirrors) on the Lunar surface during various Apollo missions used to reflect laser waves back to Earth to measure range.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Laser_Ranging_experiment

If we didn't go to the moon, who put the mirrors there?

I swear to god if someone says The USSR

@zero4 whats all this talk of humidity? I live in a land where humidity is a fact of life. Oiling tools before putting them back is a must. I sweat when I go outside to change a lightbulb in 70 degree weather. 60-70% is considered normal here. I felt weird when I went to Reno. Having to use that chapstick stuff in the middle of summer. Usually I can get by without ever needing it all year.

To add another wrench into the mix, why didn't the Californian, a ship less than 20 miles away, not respond to the distress calls of the Titanic? Some say it was an illegal whaling ship, or some say the radio operators were gone for the night.

Anyway. Fun fact, only one ship in history has been sunk by an iceberg. The RMS Titanic.

Not sure why I was even saying anything. First off I hate humidty, I'm spoiled, I rather been in dry heat if I have a choice. In Socal it's exactly that, dry heat but there are humid days here too but not humid like Florida or Asia. Glad I don't have to deal with humidity.

The talk was about swamp coolers which just throws moisture in the air. With my machining equipment & tooling, using a swamp cooler is not a good idea & is why I have a portable AC.

Speaking of ac, i always though it would be cool to run a tube to the bottom center console spot to keep drinks cool when the ac is on
