Yup the 42” Plano box. Couldn’t justify the Pelican.

 

So I don’t have to rewrite it, read a review I wrote not too long ago.

How ‘buckled’ is yours?

 

Minimal, bottom only. It created a few small places to let water in around the lid. I’m going to get a couple strips of 1/4” wife flat bar and put it under the box when I remount it in the next couple weeks. I have have it sitting flat on a concrete floor for several months and I have a good feeling it has flattened back out, but I haven’t checked on it all summer. I’ll check this weekend and update.

 

If you look at the how to page, some guys mount a bar vertically and mount the LED light to that. Might be worth trying. Also, interested to know if the heretic mounts on Prinsu site are specific to heretic or work across most brands.

 

Overland Pros Wraptor 2000 Awning on the TopRac.

Need to trim the rear bracket because I got lazy and just slipped it under my Plano case. Decided to use too many bolts/nuts on the front bracket because it seemed like a handy place to store spares. Would probably look better if I painted the brackets black.

Nice! That’s big bag though. I’m more curious about what ARE cap that is, V?
I ask because I put the sportsman windoors on my V later and my cap doesn’t have the recessed mounting.

I’m using the heretic bracket to mount my 40” caliraised to my prinsu. It allows it to sit nicely just inside the fairing.

 

looks good. did you mount it to the fairing bar or the bar behind the fairing?
my heretic mounts should arrive tomorrow

 

To the horizontal bar of the rack, not the extrusion supporting the fairing. I’ll get some better pictures later today for your reference.

 

Well my heretics arrived tonight. I ended up mounting them to the first bar and not the fairing.
Great set of mounts! Had to grind a smidge of one to get it to fit with the lightbar but really happy
I’ll do the electrical another night.

Debating between cutting the factory harness and running a clean set of wires down the driver side glass or leaving the factory harness alone and running it down the passenger side glass
The connecter between the lightbar and the actual harness is about six inches short of being able to be tucked under the hood on the driver side

 

IIRC you're supposed to flip the mounts (left goes to the right and vice versa) then they get bolted onto the front fairing bar like this

That looks super clean!
I’m using an ExtremeLED bar and i don’t have a second set of brackets to be able to connect it from the rear so I just went my route. I can’t flip them because of the wiring on the driver side
The wind noise isn’t too terrible so I’ll stick it out.

Except damaged delivery because they dont know how to properly pack.
