Just saying it's not the greatest deal in the world when it's selling for $2200. Another $800 you get the piece of mind of having all the parts to install now plus a warranty. That and people love to overstate the condition shit is in.

Wait, what? The one you have pictured with the crack you were running in the front? Those look like Wheeler's bumps & is what I'm running in the rear. I'm running plasticguy's in the front.

Those are superbumps for a 2nd gen, that you can run on the LCA. They're not a great fit though, the plasticguy's bumps are way better for our trucks.

I see. If they are made of the same foam rubber material as the super bumps for the rear, that's probably why they cracked. That material doesn't look like it's made to compress that much as it would if ran in the front on a 1st gen.

They're designed for the front of a 2nd gen, but the LCA geometry is different, so you may be correct and they're over-compressing when used on a 1st gen. I just removed my superbumps from the front, they're in fine shape but definitely not an optimal bump stop solution. Haven't had a chance to really test out the plasticguy bumps, but I have high hopes for them.

I've already chipped both sides of the plasticguy's front bumps. Not happy about that as I've only had em on for a couple of months now. Wonder if that is normal & if any one else have the same issue. Other than that no other complaints.

Hmm, when you say chipped, like some of the rubber/foam ripped off? Or a chunk got taken out of it?
I'm sure if you let him know, he would be interested in hearing that feedback. Might even make you a deal on a replacement set.

Who knows how much it is to get a set of coil overs rebuilt. My springs are rusted, the shaft is starting to have pitting and the heims are seized.... (this was only 1 winter..)

I won't be buying another set if it'll just happen again. Looks like they might be ok but I didn't think this would happen, especially only being 2 months old. At first I thought maybe it was a slim chance that a rock somehow got pinched in between but both sides are chipped exactly the in the same spot. I'll bring it up in the thread.

You should see what New York salt and chemicals do to those Dodge trucks. I swear you hardly see one on the road that doesn't have rust breaking through over the rear wheels.

Nothing too exciting, but haven't been able to drive my truck much lately so happy to get a lot of use out of her this weekend. Helped some friends move, hauled a bunch of wood and broke 140k. By far the best vehicle I have ever owned.
