5100’s or 6112’s? How much?

 

Likely 5100’s.... 6112s come with their own springs already.

 

Its pretty straight forward. The only thing I can recommend is using a shop lift. If you don't have access to a shop lift then a flat surface is key. Take your time with everything and don't rush. I just installed my King shocks in the rear of my truck today and the the King coilovers in the front last week. Try to find a buddy that's semi mechanically incline. Take your time and enjoy your build. If you run into problems you have us.

 

Good or bad idea.... begin dismantling the truck in prep for shocks, ucas, and leafs for when the stuff shows up later in the week? Orrr just wait....

 

What if the stuff doesn't show up?

 

I have an extra vehicle... so no worries... and I ride my bike to work everyday I just didn’t know if I should do one thing at a time or could I get everything taken apart ready for install

 

How confident are you that you will remember where everything goes when you put it back together. Are there any little helpers around will move stuff when you are away?

It can be done. Stuff needs to be bagged and tagged. Also take a lot of pictures. The advantage of doing e.g., the front driver side then the front passenger side is you can always use the OEM assembled side as a reference. If you take everything apart you don’t have a handy model.

The other issue is I don’t like leaving any vehicle up on jack stands, for too long, when I’m not around. Little Timmy may find a way to fall down the well no matter how much yellow tape surrounding the work site.

 

For a first timer, id do it one side at a time and each side in one sitting. That way you dont forget something.
