I know the feeling. I almost bought an optic. But I really REALLY need to keep my spending in check. I wanna buy ADS shocks.

Why are all the cool hobbies so damn expensive???:spending:

Not sure but it looks funny.
That type of case with that crimp ring is what came apart in my M&P. Although it was a reload.

Not necessarily stepped. But might be.
The dotted ring is a case cannelure, and can be used with or without a step to reduce bullet setback/eliminate seating processes.

Either way, it is a stress riser and is usually where you'll see casehead separation when it occurs.

Well these are new, not reloads so I'll shoot them. I dont reload yet and i probably wont reload 9mm when i start so I'll sell them. Hopefully they get melted down.

Had a productive evening. Loaded up some AR mags for plinking. 9 steel case then 1 brass for the full 30 rounds. Then pulled the rest of my steel case out of the white plastic holders. Id rather it be loose in a box than in those when I'm reloading mags at the range/desert. Also loaded my scorpion and glock mags. Ready to go shoot more!

Tried a few different loads and H130 ELDM's today at 100 and 500.
Was expecting better results at 500. Had a fair amount of misses on paper but 99% hits on a 6" steel swinger.

Woo-hoo. Finally got to go out with my 6.5grendel. I didn't realize I never put a bipod on it and it is the only non Aero Precision handgaurd I have so I couldn't use my bipoded handgaurd. It was hard as hell using the grip as a monopod but was able to ring steel at 780 yards. Not very many but I heard it ring!

Also, it's the first time in probably a year I shot something without a suppressor. Didn't think of putting hearing protection on. That's a mistake you make once.

I'll pick one up from you. I was just about to order a new bipod and mlok adapter. I'm still on cheap Caldwell but they seem to work. I just have to remember never to use an Atlas so I don't know better.

So should I get one? Mlok direct is appealing.

I've been trying to change all of my handgaurds to aero precision mlok but I forgot I had one Samson on this upper. I think it's time for me to put on my big boy pants and try an atlas but my bank account keeps saying don't do it.

I have 4 I have gathered over time, 3 are QD.
I like that they lock into position, can be used at different angles, and think they look nice.
I often use it in the forward 45 degree position from a bench.
Downside is weight (still not very heavy) and slower deployment.

I have 2 Atlas PSR QD bipods, about to buy an Atlas CAL.I use them for hunting, and long range steel. I like the ability to change the feet between rubber, and spikes. Yeah there a lil slower to deploy than a Harris. In a hunting situation that won’t be a problem. Far more time will be wasted getting into a comfortable shooting position, and acquiring your target.

I still use Hornady 130 factory ammo since it shoots so good. Also use these reloads, same bullet.

Prime is a tad to hot for a semi auto. Similiar results as shown in my pic's below from others.
Although a fair amount of people use it in these Larue's.

My last outing with my reloads speeds were 2800'ish.
