I had a 2016 F-150 with the Ecoboost and I missed mine all of about 5 minutes.

Keep the Ford for at least a year. Hoping that the 2020 Tacoma redesign updates for the 3rd gen will yield positive results on current gremlins.

I have had both. The f-150 has way better gas mileage, towing and features inside (as well as twice/three times the space). It also constantly broke down on me. I will say that the taco road noise is not any better, if worse, than the f-150.

Pros of my taco: More what I actually need size wise, better paint colors, toyota has fixed all my issues free, whereas ford just kept charging/passing the buck along. Better on trails.

If you are NOT off-roading, and don't have payment/reliablility issues on your Ford, I'd keep the Ford. The re-sale on them is absolute garbage so you might as well run it until it's not in great shape since it won't really effect how much you get on your trade.

Edit: A Taco from a Platinum f-150 is a HUGE HUGE drop in cabin comforts. You can't even adjust your seat height in these things yet. Be prepared to step back almost 10 years in tech, except for annoying safety nannies which Toyota is all over.
