Anyone in here have the lifetime alignment for their Taco from firestone? I have it for my 80 series and it’s been great but with a solid axle there isn’t much to adjust.

Curious how well they service Tacoma’s with lifts and aftermarket UCAs.

Gonna be installing my lift next week and was hoping to buy the lifetime certificate for my Tacoma.

Depends on the location. Most have a policy where they only follow stock/manufacturer recommended alignment numbers. I have the package but have to drive a good distance to go to one that will do a custom job on my truck

...of course, if you have a stock truck then this won't be an issue (stock numbers)

Had it for 13 to 15 years iirc and multiple states lived in. On modified suspension since almost the beginning. Never had an issue. Been lucky I guess but I'll gladly keep rolling the dice for now as it's long since paid for itself.

I guess I’ll give it a shot and if I have to I’ll go to every firestone in town until I find one that can align my truck

Just got it!! Last guy did a couple things.... some good, some bad.. Jump forward almost 2 weeks, I’ve put on a HS Off-road 2” lift kit with 5100s all around, new springs, and a AAL in the rear, with TRD 17x7” SEMA wheels wrapped in 255-80-17 Toyo Open Country ATs Installed InSight Retrofits HIDs, look friggin' sweeeet Husky Weatherbeater Action onboard
Let me know if they do it for you. According to the one in rancho, they can’t touch my truck since suspension has been modified

    @eon_blue has the right answer.

And make your contacts prior to purchase of the package, just to make sure you get what you want.

Remember, odds are high the store is a franchise. Meaning they have the ability to decline work if they wish.

And keep in mind that any alignment quality is only as good as the tech doing the work and the accuracy of the equipment he is using (it has to be calibrated periodically)

Even when you find a shop that will do it, and do it right, that can change the next time you go. A change in staffing, management, etc. can mess things up, because most franchise owners aren't into hands on management.

Didn’t read through the whole thread, so forgive any repetition. I have the LT Firestone alignment. Used it 3 times so it has paid for itself. When I put the PRO suspension kit on my 2014, my FS tech told me that he “could not do any alignment that was not in the computer.” So I had tell them that they should setup like a 2015 PRO.

Moral of the story is make sure your FS will do the alignment on your setup before you buy the lifetime alignment package.

I’m at Patriot Off-road in Roseville right now. Tires and wheels are being mounted and then they’re going to knock out an allignment as well.

Good to know. I’m only a few minutes from Roseville. Let us know how it goes. How much do they charge for an alignment?

Give them a call. They’ll quote you something reasonable, they align in-house. Since I bought wheels and such with them I’m not sure what the alignment on it’s own ended up costing.

I have it but my suspension is already modified when I got it. I only go to the Firestone in Brea, CA with the tech "Richard". Owns a lifted FJ so he's familiar on how to set up modified suspension.

I've been told that the Brea one or the Downey one are the two best Firestone's in LA area to go to if you've got a lifted truck, I should check them out someday even though it's a bit of a drive for me

Haven't heard about the Downey one but I'm guessing it just depends on the tech. I once brought it in Brea and I told the guy at the counter what I wanted and he said they can only do stock specs then I told him that his manager is the one the sold me the lifetime alignment knowing that my suspension is modified and he was just like "ok we'll try for these numbers". I'm not sure if the counter guys are just counter guys are if they are also techs. I have mine set up at around 4.5 caster and as close to zero on camber/toe and have no issues. Drives perfectly straight.

All the firestones in the east bay stick pretty hard to stock specs.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I had their Lifetime program once upon a time. 70% of the time I was able to speak with the tech, explain the LR UCA adjustment and have them dial-in the caster where I wanted it. Never really had an issues, but sometimes they wouldn't adjust them beyond the OEM specs (depends on the tech working).

The last trip there, about 2 years ago now, I spent literally 7 hours in their waiting room waiting for the (new) Alignment Tech to figure out the UCAs. After getting impatient enough - I walked out the shop to see what hell he was doing. He had flattened my alignment cam-tab in the process of adjusting and was trying to pound them back into place. I told him to stop - put it back together and went in the speak with the manager.

He reimbursed me the total for my Lifetime Alignment purchase and they paid for a new set of TC Cam Tab gussets. He said with the amount of modifications on my truck, the aftermarket UCAs, oversized tires and off-road use make it ineligible for their Lifetime service.

So - long story short, as others have said, it really just depends on the location and the individual Alignment Tech you are going to.

I just called the firestone off of Madison and auburn blvd and they said they do alignments in lifted vehicles all day and to bring it on down.
